Probably* drives just like a Metro as they also have zero roll-stiffness at the rear with their coupled rear displacers.

Heh, that's almost identical to the one I owned back in 2000 - even has the same wheels.  Mine was a slightly darker shade of metallic brown but other than that it's spot on.  Last year of the Mk1 before they went wrong-wheel-drive and got that bizarre bustleback boot.

Is someone looking for one of these?  We have one as family transport that has about 70,000 fewer miles on it

I am :) preferably a mk1 but would consider the right mk2 if it came along and winked at me

That is wobtastic. I presume the filler is on top of some genuine Mini Pickup steel then?

The ad says it is converted from a car.  I suspect the donor car was a saloon, which has a 4 inch shorter wheelbase than the estate and pickup, which is part of the reason the proportions look so odd.

Ah, makes sense. I think the first thing I saw was the passenger compartment and the rear window, which just looked off.

Rover p6 3500s original and 5 speed manual

z.thumb.jpg.75489bcf0a3fdf75b104c3ad6ead8e8d.jpg

"This is my car driven into this garage around 3 years ago and sadly left and unfortunately the garage has not looked after her for me"

Webasto roof and roofless garage is not a good combination!

"The gearbox was changed a number of years ago to the 5 speed Sdi gearbox and propshaft for fuel consumption"

Classified ad price: £3,495  Optimistic?  I'm not sure what these go for.

Ford escort 1.3 classic car barn find

z.thumb.jpg.b332f79c9963e2069bcc3661486a0b88.jpg

"Here we have a nice barn find been off the road under cover since 1994, won’t take much to get this back on the road from what I see does need a bit off welding, everything is original and to be honest good condition from a car built in 1981 ! There is no papers with this car the old man who’s it was said he will find them out but to be honest I doubt he will find them."

Putting it away under cover in 1994, when it would probably have been worth about £50, was a pretty smart move!

Starting bid: £1,000

Definitely optimistic. Look at it. Reckons it will start right up if you put petrol and a battery in it, too. He ought to buy a lottery ticket with an outlook like that.

😮 what's going on tonight?! That guy with the mini 'pick up' needs his head looking at, he's converted a potential nice earner into a pile of junk, using about £200 worth of wob in the process.

Swiftly followed by Mr 'I'll leave my Webasto roofed Rover in a knackered garage'. It'll probably start up OK but because it's a Rover the oil pump won't self prime, then him and the potential buyer will spend the next 5 mins trying to 'build up' oil pressure by thrashing it, by which time the bottom end will be toast.
