I can take or leave a Lagonda, but the Quattroporte III is one of the most desirable cars of all time. I'd have one over a QP I, even.

I doubt it's ever been much cheaper than this to buy a running sleeve valve motor, although it seems pretty noisy so perhaps there's disaster afoot. Wood though, even with the utterly horrid retrim.

I was rather put off one of these, when years ago, I read a report of a lady that was killed in one after being T-boned by a Range Rover in Hampstead. Not that surprising ,you may say. But the bit that sticks in my mind was the line” It was initially thought she was a pedestrian by First Responders “ Apparently it was only when clearing up the Police realised some of the debris was actually a car and not bits of Range Rover bumper.
