This looks beautiful but the interior looks very spartan for a Pallas?

That's a very early one. Can't remember if DIRAVI was standard by 1976.

Excuse my ignorance but what is DIRAVI?

Fully-powered steering which self-centres. I think you have it on yours, and I definitely have it on mine!

That looks like a US government issue with the crap color and steel wheels, is it ex-USAF or something?

No idea, the ad doesn't say; custard colour aside it's got that look though.

it's perhaps not quite appropriate for AS, but these things are mega cool and I absolutely love this picture. Looks like something from Le Cercle Rouge (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaKDnTSYRak) or something

Also a funny title for the advert

Even after the seller repeats a paragraph or three, 7 times, I still can't fathom out what the fk he is on about ?

I've started to like and appreciate American cars after numerous trips to the 'States in the 1990s and early 2000s.  Buying one has always been easy to resist, though as I get older and more stupid, the 'oh what the hell' logic has gained strength.  Still resisting at the moment, but this one attracted me:

If these Wartburgs were two-stroke powered they would be more desirable as "Classic Cars".

But having Polo* engines makes them more Shite somehow, and more useable.

Can't decide? Have them both, His-'n-Hers!

**One of VW's better '70s / 80s "power" units.
