eBay tat volume 3.

It’s both sad and reality that that Honda is £850 at best.

There used to be quite a few of those Accords in my area when they were in production. They were much liked by older drivers, being very easy to drive, and looked like a proper three-box saloon. Its successor was equally good.

After that, Honda went all 5-door hatchback with the Accord, and then discovered British Touring Car racing. They went head-to-head with Peugeot 406s, Renault Lagunas, Vauxhall Cavaliers, some Volvo estates, etc. Great to watch in those days...

I still own one of those Accord series, but with the Aerodeck body.  Been laid-up for years, I was going to throw it way, perhaps not now.  I couldn't anyway, as it was my Mum's car and it really was a good drive.  The quality at the Sayama plant over Swindon was obvious when you were in it

See where I'm getting to?  Nostalgia heart ruling over head.

In that green, with that interior, mileage etc, it wins my £1800 over a £1500 Peugeot 405 any day.  Because it would be for keeps / ticking that nostalgia box / a class above a Peugeot / another excuse

The main shame about that Accord is it will be pineappled by next April.  Because OMGJDMBOSOSOKU-YO!  And I will kick myself in 2021 for not buying such a clean* example when it was available.

Anyone want to by some of my motors so can fund it?

Just looked up the Accord's history.  Caveated Emptorage.

It was up for £2750 when the current owner bought it December 2015.  So I doubt he gave just £850 for it

However, it's probably not as clean as it should be though, what with the recorded colour change.  But still, it's a 30-year-old proper Honda.  Not a chinese-built Jazz or a rentacar Civic from Bradford.

More likely the fella 'Constantin' got his languages in a mix.  Caravan is the german term used for Estate Car.  But you knew that.

Sadly the 620 Ti may just be out of my reach. I've been having a great conversation with the seller who seems a decent sort and he's told me he doesn't want to sell it to a banger boy and that it needs keeping in the Rover-licker family. He has put it up on Autotrader and has had a retired fella tap him up about it who used to own two of them and wants to recapture former glories - sounds an ideal buyer. He offered me a chance to go for a spin but then realised I lived many miles away.

Seller has said if it doesn't sell he's gonna chuck it to his mechanic but he's genuinely scared that if it passes the MoT he'll end up keeping it and lose his knackers in the process, courtesy of Mrs Seller. Sounds like a classic Autoshiter to me, I may just invite him along here ;)

He's agreed to let me know if he puts it back up for sale with a test on it and he says he really wants a Rover fan to have it.

Top bloke, certainly not your run of the mill ebay twat. And yes I did offer (in jest) a Twix and an Xbox 360 m9.

Just in case the above picture wasn't enough to put you off, have one of the back that makes it look like someone holding an umbrella over a small dog whilst it has a Richard the 3rd on the pavement.

'Bidders Identity is kept private to safeguard bidders from malicious messages by rouge bidders'

But not at all to hide the fact 99.6% of the bids will be from your mum.

Alpine Bluetooth stereo with power Amp and custom 10 speaker system

Where the fuck do you fit 10 speakers in that?!

Also, the seatbelt arrangement is downright terrifying-looking:

Jesus, what a fucking crock of shit. The seller comes across as a complete tool too.

The fact it was originally blue and silver before being wrapped in that Halfords spec carbon crap makes me think it was a Red Bull promotional vehicle that's been badly rehashed into the mess we see here.

Edit, yep.

This giffer Accord is hiding away in the motorcycle spares section.

Just look at those seat covers!

That might even have the "OD" setting on the gearbox. Perfect if you've OD'd on Mogadon.
