Don’t underestimate the cost of repair parts needed…if you’ve got a donor vehicle in the right colour, you’re laughing but if you need to source everything, it will mount up.

I’ve just done an i40 for a friend of mine with seemingly minor damage but it’s needed a new bumper, wing, various brackets, a very expensive LED headlight etc etc and it’s soon hit 4 figures. He got paid out nearly 3k after retaining salvage so he’s well on the right side but that £500 2011 Kia can easily become a £2000 one to do it properly, even with your own labour where possible.

I occasionally buy and repair salvaged cars and I avoid Kias like the plague. The cost of parts is ludicrous compared to say Nissan Qashqai or Toyota  Avensis

Why would you take pictures of your daughter, with the car you are trying to sell. 2 pictures on one side, no interior, nothing on the driver's side,  or the back.

Is anyone close enough to this to give it the once over?

I've always wanted a Grand Move but these are so few now I'd like to at least try this one. Does have some advisories and previous welding on the sills and front subframe which I'd prefer to get some eyes on before bidding.

Turns out the seller is actually MY NEIGHBOUR.

Bob round and shake his hand. Would roffle well.

I'll have you know I resemble that remark, but I prefer the term eccentric I feel it carries more gravitas.

Had full service history but lost. So that’s no service history?
