Sedan?  Sure, why not?  Four-pot?  Oh... maybe not then.

Exactly.  It was my first Yank and I thought it was going to be quick being a 2.2.  My 1.3 Escort van I also had at the time would leave it for dead.  It seemed to have all the bad points of Yank tanks (poor fuel economy, over-light steering, understeery handling) without any of the advantages (space, power, V8 noise).  It did have some fantastically shit fake wood on the dash though, and a vinyl roof, so it wasn't all bad.

A couple of months later I bought a Fox-body Mustang - that was only a 3.8 V6 but it was an absolute revelation by comparison, although it didn't really go round corners either.

I swapped both of them for a '76 Seville.  Now that was a proper car.

IVECO DAILY 35 MWB , HORESBOX , CONVERTED TO CAMPER , SPARES OR REPAIR , EXPORT | eBay

A rather impressive 27 attempts to MOT this over the years, of which just 6 have seen a clean sheet.

It failed the latest on emissions, possibly the owner's ones looking at his undies

Word of warning, I see a lot of stuff in Pontefract from other sellers which is too good to be true. Listings usually say something along the lines of "from 40+ car barn find" though so maybe this one is genuine. Chap has a lot of listings.

Careful, in UK, but says Carte Gris has expired and says it is MOT, but is actually ownership document, so may be impossible to register.

I think owner means the Controle Technique has expired - which it has in 2021 - the equivalent of the MoT.

The van should (should!) have it's Carte Grise with it - it's the equivalent of the V5.  If that's missing - virtually impossible to get it back on the road in France and more difficult I assume to get it registered here as it will have no identity.

It's quite high miles 234,000km  - 145,000 miles - so just depends how it's been looked after.

Great vehicles and now increasing in value in France. Not expensive if not rusted.

Yes, there is a pic of the expired CT, so confusion may be possible here.

even if all the french paperwork is MIA, it should be no problems to get it registered here in the UK

a simple dating letter and a V55/5 and related paperwork would suffice to see it UK registered, V5 in hand on an an age related plate, the only sticking point is the question if duties have been paid on it, but thats not an insurmountable problem

so when are you collecting it? :)

'Unusual to see any of these left now. They were badly made in a country not known for quality, it's rusty, the fuel gauge doesn't work and it's basically a steaming pile of wank. But that's enough about the  Iv*co, here is my City Rover...'

To be fair, that's the 'improved' Mk2 CityRover, so it's slightly less wank than the original.
