I have a feeling that 2 door Avengers, and most likely 4 doors as well will be overpriced in ten years time as the restomod scene will look at Ford Escrot alternatives as they've become too expensive. That's my prediction.

Shite wheels on this one, but this is lovely as is:

Any ideas on what else in particular will go up in price in the 70's saloon category. I believe Imps will go up even more, but that's technically a hatchback.

Well, Mystic Meg, at £4K for a scrap Avenger I think this one is already overpriced.

Anything RWD and small to medium-sized really: Vivas  and Kadetts spring to mind.  Manta and Ascona are already on their way up.  Rootes Arrow series are also climbing.  Marinas are picking up but not at the same speed.  I'm a bit surprised the humble Minor hasn't been grabbed in the same way; it's light and simple and is basically an MG Midget under the skin.  I know it's been an established classic for decades but you can still find them at remarkably reasonable prices.  Ditto the Austin A40.  Old Toyotas  and Datsuns?  Most have rotted away and the survivors seem to be up between GM  and Ford in terms of pricing.

One I learnt today - the Subaru Vivio kei car....

Vivio is roman numerals

VI VI O = 660cc

Possibly rubbish.

interestingly with a different seller only a week or so after last listing ended

It has gained a broken spring and a fuel leak in that time. Presumably quite a few hidden gremlins in this. Probably still would.

Like how this says 'BEARS' on the front of the Luton. I imagine it doing a regular round among housing estates in the early 80's selling actual bears to frazzled housewives & kids

Anyone have an idea what the car is under cover behind the Snow Machine in the attached piccy? The headlight looks familiar, maybe a small Fiat?

Yeah Enfield 8000 for sure

I noticed it but im surprised no one else did until now

I dont think there are many survivors so its not something you would expect to see randomly in the background, wonder which it is
