There's no recognised Autobianchi Owners' Club that I could find, and I would imagine contacting Fiat UK to ask for assistance would result in a response of "u wot m8?".

Shame - it'd look good parked next to the Innocenti.

I was about to say ‘I bet Wuv knows if there’s an owners’ club,’ when I realised it was you that had posted.

So instead, I wonder how hard it would be to start an Autobianchi Owners’ Club and then assign yourself a build date?

You know you want to.

I was tempted by this last time it was on, but having no paperwork (including, presumably, no NOVA declaration) and being the product of a long-defunct marque which was never imported into the UK anyway, I would imagine registering it here would be borderline impossible.  There's no recognised Autobianchi Owners' Club that I could find, and I would imagine contacting Fiat UK to ask for assistance would result in a response of "u wot m8?".

Registering shouldn't be too difficult. As it's come from in the EU. NOVA can be done online, and you should be able to get the chassis number verified by a owners club abroad, then just fill in paper work and send off. You can get it moted on the chassis number. Even if dvla won't accept your info they will just put it on a Q plate worse case scenario.

Guess how much you think this 96 E Class is on for, and post below how far off your were.

WHAT! That can’t be right, one of the worst built Mercedes Benz ever. I bet even the underside of this one has rust.

This is how I imagine Cavcraft looks like.

That Merc is amazing.  No MOT, needs four new tyres, and it's up for 10x what a decent one is worth.  Vendor has evidently taken up recreational drugs whilst in lockdown.

About £250 would be right. Surely the nadir of Daimler prices / Chrysler build quality*, the W210 is like a rusty hand-grenade just waiting to crumble in your hand shortly before you lob it.

Have we had this yet?

What a gem. Unusual modifications too, which actually work. Love it.

But would you want to visit the Isle of Sheppey for it?

Quote:  "She will sit on the motorway quite happily at 70 mph which equates to 3100 rpm in 5th"

That's actually quite high revs for 70mph (I get the same reading at the same speed with the CX), but I had 18 years of 2050rpm at 70mph so I might be slightly* biased.

25k for the Merc above, or 4k for the R12, let me think about that.

if you think its bad, try registering a French sans permis car LOL

I dont think it would be TOO difficult to get it registered here

the main difficulty would be dating it (and the NOVA) otherwise its just a case of filling out a V55/5 really :)

and I dont THINK you need a car club specific to your car to sign off the dating stuff either

ya just need a DVLA registered club to sign off on it all (I imagine one from the DVLAs V765 list)

https://www.gov.uk/importing-vehicles-into-the-uk/registering-an-imported-vehicle

(besides thats not the only Autobianchi in the UK is it? if there are other UK registered Autobianchi's perhaps you could contact their owners and ask em how they did it)

This one's been doing the rounds for months - loads of question marks over it, including some thinking that it's got the wrong engine in it, i.e. not the Maser V6.....

Assuming it's not stupidly in the 'just fucking scrap it M9' end of things, an electric conversion is calling surely if the maser has been removed?
