Solstad is still going in some form - look up "Robert Solstad Sixwheelers" on Facebook. Not sure if it's the same chap or a continuation.

They've been working on a Volvo S60 recently.

So basically what those six wheelers did was make the vehicle overweight before even adding a load?

Saw an interesting article about the six wheel cx's on YouTube, which typically I can't find no w, regarding newspaper transport across France and into Spain.

Apparently they were one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet!

Used to use XM's too, wonder if that's why? 🤣

Those were made by Martin Walter ( of Dormobile fame ) plus another company I think & even when new were extremely rare only a handful survive.

In the 70's ones were made in south America I'm no good with W numbers.

The one with vertical rectangular lights.

The squared off, presumably estate based one works better for me.
