Anyone know anything about hydrogen powered vehicles?

My youngest is doing a project on the feasibility of them and is struggling to find decent information about them.

She has met with a couple of professors about the fuel cells but is having trouble finding anything vehicle related.

Any pointers to anything suitable would be much appreciated.

They are a thing in Sweden aren't they? I remember seeing prototypes on tomorrow's world.

What level is she at? BSc?

Not having kids I wouldn't have thought of that.

Going down your local primary school offering freebies for the kids unannounced probably won’t go down too well in this day and age

Part of the crap-in-back-of -garage clearout. Where is the best/cheapest place to get rid of used tyres? Local council place charges £5 for each.

Bury them in the garden.

Build a house from them.

Grow Veg in them.

Put them on top of shed.

In the depths of my shed I have a full height floor standing pillar drill , unsure of the make but the sort you used to get in school woodworking class , I'm in Sussex, when I went to collect it , thinking it was a bench top one I went in my Mazda Mx5 , luckily it wasn't raining so I dropped the roof down and it fitted in .... just . Was working when I last used it a while back , worth it at £40 ono

Edit: this is actually for sale for £40 o.n.o

There's been loads of hydrogen powered buses around the world for many years now. London had them over 10 years ago. The hydrogen is stored in cells on the roof, practical on buses, not so on cars.

Try TU Delft, when I was doing a Solar energy with them there students were building a H2 race car.    Dr Arno Smets did the Solar stuff if you need someone to contact, they teach in English.

Try Aberdeen, it's a bit closer.

I am looking for a bit of help from one of our French speakers. I ordered a wheel for my Solex nearly 3 weeks ago from a spares company in France and I am getting no response at all from email or the website contact form. Just wondering if someone could give him a ring for me to check he is ok and if my wheel is on it's way. Otherwise I will be onto my credit card company but that is a last resort.

Thank you, information has been sent through and it is a great start.

They're great for growing spuds in, make a rope swing for your or a relative's kids, sports clubs might take them for training. Know anyone with a boat who needs some makeshift bumpers for the sides while docking?

Got any on rims?

It didn't seem to bad when I was underneath a while back light surface corrosion on underside , sills plated just before I bought it about 7 or 8 years ago . chassis legs all good . It is 25y.o this year . Roof leaks but comes with a better one that needs a plastic window repair . 2 pairs of mismatched wheels currently on it but will come with a set of 14 inch daisies as well that need a refurbishment.

Paintwork is shocking , about 6 shades of red/pink , bubbling on one rear arch but quite solid .

It did make an appearance at the Portsdown Hill , Portsmouth meet up a while back , it blended in quite well with some of the assorted shite! It has had a temporary repair to the t piece off the water pump , holding good , took it for a ragging yesterday , goes well , probably needs a service , and a water pump , heater works well . No idea what it needs for a MoT as I am not a MoT tester , someone somewhere usually knows a friendly one !

No pictures available yet as it's been pissing down all day , hopefully tomorrow.

Untorn Momo 3 spoke steering wheel and horn button .

It is cheap because it looks like crap but is great fun to drive and requires tidying or go for the weathered look !

Be quick before it goes on Facebook ... please

In case you haven't noticed I have put an honest description above .... wait until you see the pictures !!!!

If I wasn't feeling like such an old basrard all the time I would keep it , but alas too tall too unflexible too many cars ....

Stick a few photos up in the main bit of the forum with your location.  Even pictures in the rain will be fine and you can try to get your umbrella partly n the shot so it looks like a massive pterodactyl is about to swoop down and pick it up as a tasty treat for its cawing young :)

Riversimple are based in the UK (well, Wales) and as well as making the cool looking car using a hydrogen system from a forklift truck they're doing a new car ownership model so they always own the car and you just lease it for the miles.  Quite amazing really as it encourages the manufacturer to build a car that lasts a long time rather than 15 minutes longer than the warranty.  They're testing a fleet of prototypes now and have always got info about the hydrogen infrastructure as well as the cars up on their LinkedIn page.

I'm replacing the engine on a 2004 Peugeot Partner van. Im ditching the hateful.DW8 and putting a 1.9XUD in it.

On the exhaust manifold there is this pointless looking thing bolted on.post-19511-0-41388200-1543418527_thumb.jpg

What is the point of it? I've seen it on quite a few cars but never really questioned it

Why is petrol suddenly 10p cheaper than diesel?

I hardly ever fill up so this might have been the case for a while but I noticed today and was very puzzled.
