Use it like polish. I didn't have much luck with it. Silvo works well.

How do you make toothpaste clear milky plastic lights?

Tried it with no success. Advocado's better.

Theoretical accident liability question: You're on the motorway, and someone passes you, pulls in in front of you between you and another car, and they then unexpectedly brake because of the car in front. If you were to rear end the person who cut you up, who's liable? I was discussing this with someone who thought the figurative 'you' would be liable 'as you went in the back of someone else', despite that making little sense to me.

The other chap would be liable I guess, but proving it would be the problem.

ianal.

In this example 'You' would be liable.

The only exception would be in either one or both of the other cars deliberately caused an accident.  To prove this you would need lots of independent witnesses and/or video evidence.

This is what dashcams were invented for.

Probably been asked before, but...

MG ZS with the V6: it's using as much oil and water as petrol, pretty much. It's kettled and that one's a right pig to fix. Am I right?

Question for any engineer. I can't find a decent cheap auto and begrudge getting rid of the xsara anyway. The issue is my bad left side is getting worse. Is there any way of modifying the clutch operation to either vacuum controlled clutch or hand operation relatively easily?

Hand controls are obtainable but to avoid any issues with insurance you would need to go to a specialist. One of my customers had a Picasso converted for not a lot of money. It was a crap job mind as they shorted out a wire under the steering column.

Theoretically you should slow down to make sure the gap between you and the car in front is sufficient as soon as they pull in front of you..... As has been said dash cam is your friend and "may" get you out of it otherwise considered your fault....

Have any of you lot tried removing an injector from an early 90's Legacy?  Forumland seems to reckon it's easy but I'm not sure if it still will be after it's been stuck in there for 20+ years.  There's a cheap old estate on fleabay with one duff injector that might be our new family bus if it stays cheap and is an easy fix.

Somewhere in London apparently, £8 train tickets are available though.

I must have spied it on eBay or gumtree unless there are more with poorly injectors for sale

Has anyone ever been banned or kicked out from autoshite? If so, why?

Most people get bantered to death and flounce off of their own accord

As 2smoke said, people generally flounce of, have toys/pram incident and leave. I'm not aware of anyone being banned.

We only got actual moderators recently and I think they're more for eradicating spammers than upholding non-exisant rules.

Didn't Norm get banned? If he did, I can't remember why; I liked Norm, his politics could be a bit interesting sometimes, but I think that can be said about anyone who has a strongly held view that you don't share

A few people have been banned. Norm/ Team Blitz, Eccentric Richard, Austin Towers and the PU51DRY person are the ones I remember.

I can't remember exactly what norm was banned for but I do remember he talked some amount of shite. It's weird though as I believe he was really knowledgeable and and raced capris in the us in the old days he just never imparted any if that to us.

Exhaust leaking, lol, gonna get a new clamp. Is there anything else I should do to treat the connectors before clamping or do I just do it dry? I will also be using a proper cast clamp not a shitty pressed one which it is replacing.
