I'm interested in this please.

Cheers for the interest - I'd received a PM earlier about it and have just confirmed that it's what the buyer's after - sorry!

Hi, I'd be very surprised if I haven't got some or all of these as when I cleared my old stuff from my late mother's house I had to re-distribute about 2,500 bike & car magazines between the loft at the marital home and at work in Chester. There was definitely a lot of UBG's along with the similar Old Bike Guide (IIRC) so if you've not in a rush for a week or so, I'll see where they ended up. Regards, Ian.

No rush, thanks Ian.

For those who don't know me, I am a bit of a stickler for decent tyres and try to run the Subaru at least with a matching set all round. As a result of various punctures and swapping summer for winter, I now have the following which I doubt I will use again. Don't know how folk feel about part worns but I would use these again if I needed to. The only reason I'm not is because I've said sod it and shelled out on a set of Michelin CrossClimates, which mean I shouldn't need to switch from summer to winter, and vice versa, if the hype and Michelin's tests are to be believed. Open to offers these, price includes shrink wrap and courier, or you're welcome to collect from Ardrossan.

3 x Michelin Energy Savers, 205 55 16, 2 with approx 4mm, 1 with approx 5mm, believe DOT code is 2015 £20 each

2 x Kumho iZen KW23 winter tyres 215 45 17, approx 6mm tread left, currently mounted on chunky rather kerbed Subaru alloys, 2015 DOT code. £30 tyres alone, £45 wheel and tyre. Will grab a pic of them on the car shortly. I do have another 2 of these wheels, 1 of them has a good tyre on it which I'm currently using as my spare, the other has a badly cracked side wall due to a slow puncture and me driving on it without realising it was low on air. I would sell the set for £100 but you will need another tyre.

2 x Goodyear Ultragrip 8 Performance winter tyres 205 50 17, 5-6mm tread left I believe, will need to check, 2013 DOT code. I LOVE these tyres, they are SUPER sticky but also quite expensive and I'd need another 2 to complete the set. £35 each or both for £60

1 x Continental Sport Contact 5 summer tyre 205 50 17, 5mm tread, will need to double check DOT code but sure it is within date. Has a nick in the side wall but still held air. £40.

1 x Avon Ice Touring ST winter tyre. 205 50 17. Probably best used as a spare as the DOT code is 2011 and it's matching tyre of the pair has already perished. 5-6mm tread left. This one seemed to be OK for the few weeks I used it last month tho. £20

2 x Dunlop 3D winter tyres, 205 55 16. Approx 4-5mm tread, will confirm full model in daylight but again probably best used as spares as I believe the DOT code is 2009, hence £25 for the 2.

Offered: two tickets to see Chas & Dave at the Blackheath Halls this Saturday 16th.  Cost £60 the pair normally but £20 will do (or I can sell them separately).

Thanks for the reply anyway.

Not Martin, no! This one's away to another Maxi fanatic, to make a proud return to the road after two decades in a box in the attic!

Spares or repairs model kit **

Seems an auful shame to bin , but was just about too

Brought on eBay and shipped from the US iirc

Then halfway through I stopped for some reason, school, exams, travel I don’t know

The cars interior has been done and the outside has been spray painted properly in black, with grey silver bumpers as per picture on the box

Unfortunately there’s some damage but can be glued together I think

Yours for the cost of P+P. I’m only putting it on here before it’s binned which would be a shame, but not sure if spares or repair model kits are a thing

I have never managed to find a 400, what scale/size is it?

It's a 1/24 scale. I have the same kit, never even taken out of the box. Purchased

because I was going to replicate my actual LS, but sold the car and just put the kit away.

Prompted by this post, i just found it in a drawer, where it has been for a good few years now (so just like a barn find!).

Anyone want it for a tenner? If you get the one from Petrolize you can have a spares car cluttering up your table too..........

I was really looking for a LS400 in 1/43 scale so 1/24 is not what I really want.

Just a thought ...Would that 1/24th body  shell hammer  over an Invacar chassis ?

Little and large versions for Dollywobbler    :-D :-D

If anyone here gathered has the following copies of the Used Motorcycle Guide that they'd be willing to part with I would be most interested:

  • 51
  • 54
  • 65
  • 68
  • 70-75
  • 77

Cheers

I've located a box with a lot of Used Motorcycle Guides & Used Bike Guides in it. I can definitely supply you with Nos. 51, 54, 68, 70, 73 & 75 from what I found. There's bound to be other ones hiding somewhere so I'll keep an eye out as I search through other boxes. I don't know where you are but they can be collected from Crewe or Chester or I can post them if needed. Regards, Ian.

Wanted.

Princess (wedge type) rear displacer bump stops.  These are massive rubber blocks bonded to a metal base, they may be the same as Maxi and Allegro.  One of mine has come unbonded and the last one that did that I had no luck re-bonding.  They're not handed so if you've only got one it will fit the side I need it on.  I've had no luck through the club or on eBay, I've never seen any for sale so I'm not holding out much hope tbh.

If you have one, please PM me as I'll likely miss a reply in here.

Good preparation and Loctite 410 for rubber to metal. Clamp overnight.

(That's how old Moulton cyclists rebond their rear rubber suspension blocks which are sandwiched between two metal plates and work in compression and shear.)
