Wanted - Someone to make a couple of these stickers up for my 305 van and Chris's Espace.

38475125322_4493e4bac4_b.jpg305 van sticker ideas... by srblythe, on Flickr

Easiest way would be to make it 2 colour and lay one bit of vinyl over the other.

Looks like the cold snap we’ve had has finally finished off the battery in my Ka - has anyone got a good used one close as possible to wolverhampton/Walsall? Can provide beer or some coin

Is that something you could do?

I've also heard that Vistaprint do stickers. Not cheap, but not silly expensive either.

I'd like to use my AX instead of my bike during the forecast OHMYGODSNOWCHAOS looming, so would like four (three stud) wheels to fit some winter tyres too, just in case. Cannot find any on eBay or Gumtree.

Posted

^^^^ I just missed out on a set of five on eBay last week that went for £12.50. I also posted on here a few pages back about my desire for a set of three stud wheels for my AX. I've not had a response so I think it's currently a case of demand exceeding supply.

***ETA: Yaris head taken - other head units dumped***

Folks,

Just a few random bits of car found in a recent shed tidy-up which need to be gone before too very long - FREE to shiters (well, cost of postage only) should anyone want them.

PM me if there's any item(s) you fancy/would like more pics or info on, and I'll provide advice and/or postage price.

Throttle cable that might or might not fit a 1.0 Mk2F Polo - all I know is it didn't quite fit mine ('93 Fox) - just a bit too short. Quinton Hazell, part# QTC4107

**Put in the bin as probably no use to man or beast.**

post-17915-0-31482400-1511213475_thumb.jpg

Overall length: 580mm approx

Outer cable sheath length: 370mm approx

Connectors at either end:

Drive belt for '99 to '05 Yaris 1.0 VVT with hydraulic power steering (Mrs DC's Yaris is a late-build French Mk1 with electric power steering, so takes the same belt as the non-p/s cars - as we carefully explained to Helpful But Useless at the local motor factor, without any success). Six-ridge belted pattern. Dayco, part# 6PK1733

**Still available, though thinking of just taking it back to the motor factor and abandoning it on the counter there. Bought about two years ago, so I won't try to embarrass myself asking for a refund**

Lucas Split Charging Relay - late 70's, boxed with instructions. Part# 33335.

I think my dad had this fitted to a Marina estate in the mid 80's, but who knows? It's bog-all use to me.

**In the danger zone - nearly chucked it in the recycling on Saturday, but for now it's rolling round in the boot**

ICE Shite: Audioline 410 Radio/Cassette Head Unit. At a guess, late 80s/early 90s? Fully manual tuning with push-button pre-select, and complete with 6-pin connector. No idea if it works or not; was filling a hole in the dash, unconnected, in the same Polo Fox that the throttle cable didn't fit.

**Taken up to the electronics recycling - probably dreadful quality and needing new bands etc, and more expensive to post than picking one up at a car boot sale. Can't win 'em all.**

Goodmans GCE-233 Radio/Cassette Head Unit. Probably mid/late 90s, this ones comes with a 3.5mm auxiliary line in, as well as digital tuning pre-sets. Sadly no connectors to the back, so can make no guarantees as to condition or usability, but probably common to other Goodmans head units of the time. I have no idea where this one even came from.

**also chucked**

Blaupunkt Calgary MP35 Radio/CD Head Unit. Dating from around 2005 so standard ISO fitment, I had this one as a cheap Halfrauds ex-display unit and it served me well in about twelve cars before the CD player packed in. Good sound off it though and comes with a Blaupunkt aux-in 3.5mm jack lead, as well as the correct Connects2 steering wheel control interface lead. I'm well aware that a fucked CD unit isn't exactly a desirable item - but if the faceplate, aux lead and/or interface patch lead is any use, you're welcome to them. The CD component may well be fixable (just says 'Reading' for ages then flashes up 'Disc Error') but I suspect not - though I know zip about electronic components, so knock yourself out if you fancy it. Still works fine as a radio and with the aux in, and visually less flashy than most current head units.

**still available, currently plugging the dash in the SORNd Laguna**

***NOW TAKEN*** OEM Yaris Radio/CD Unit - Panasonic 86120-0D140 - Integrated Double-DIN size with pocket & fascia, plus steering wheel control inputs; working perfectly and in use until last month, when Mrs DC decided she'd like to be able to listen to podcasts through her phone while on the road, so this was bucked out for a DIN unit with Bluetooth compatibility. Complete with fixings and ashtray; may be of some use to someone with a borked unit, or fancies treating themself to an upgrade from their factory-fit cassette unit...

I also have a metric fuckton of old dealer catalogues from the mid-late 90s, plus random magazines & copies of Autotrader from the same era, which I'll be putting up here as well for anyone who wants them, at postage only.

Side of the van size or bumper sticker?

A bit smaller than a bumper sticker but slightly bigger than the likes of the autoshite dealer sticker.

Say 10" x 2" then?

Don't have one of them but I'm sure I've still got an original Road Angel kicking about somewhere if that's of interest.

Aye let me know please mate!

Anyone want a Ford OBD 1 code reader thingy? Used once to successfully sort out a 'check engine' light on the 1993 Mercury I previously owned.

Not sure if OBD1 was even a thing on UK Fords though.
