Brilliant! How else would you replace a borked Rangey?

The sound you can hear is Junkman trying to start his shonky old Merc so he can head north and give you a damn good thrashing for buying a diesel yank...

You.

Fucking.

LEGEND.

I believe that is the very car me and 17-Coffees have seen at Errol two years on the trot, and sat around in both times too.

Going by the plate, it is! Those photos were taken way back in 2017. We also saw it earlier this year too.

Aye, it's been hingin' aroond Errol for yonks.

Nobody else wants but me. Which is fine. Voted the 4th worst American car of the 80s.

That front number plate needs straightening up.

I'll post the wife's reaction when she comes home and discovers it on the drive. It was only this morning she told me to get some of the cars off the drive. "It's looking like a tinky's yard".

If you don't hear from me, send out a search party. Look for a shallow grave.

6 seater Diesel, I was not expecting that, I love these old land yachts, last of the dinosaurs.

I think its gr8 how the old GM top line models are all named after a small town near Penrith.

I like that! Top purchasing. What sort of power/torque does the 350 diesel make?

Straight from wiki.

"The LF9 is a 350 cu in (5,737 cc) diesel V8 produced from 1978 to 1985. Earlier versions and those used in pickups produced 120 hp (89 kW) and 220 ft⋅lbf (300 N⋅m) torque, while later versions produced 105 hp (78 kW) and 205 ft⋅lbf (278 N⋅m) torque."

Pretty dreadful! As little as 18bhp per litre, the original XUD9 was good for 34bhp per litre for comparison.

I love rubbish old diesels and this is peak rubbish old diesel.

Apologies for jumping back in so soon but this is how to win at Autoshite, start a thread off implying collection of a people carrier but the reality is a boxy 1980’s American saloon car with a V8 Diesel engine, epic. That’s a great purchase Sir!
