Picked up my front bumper this morning, put it on at the bodyshop, came home and fitted the trims and foglamps, shame it's raining now or I would be out polishing

You gonna pick up another bumper should you happen upon one should the worse happen again? If their rare now imagine in 10 years time...

It would be worth while for me to get one just in case, I constantly look for parts and buy parts i dont need yet but may need in the future so it will be on my list, I'm counting my lucky stars at how easy it has been to repair, i can't wait till it goes in the bodyshop to paint the bonnet, grille and trim under the lights so it looks 100% again as they have marks and chips on

The two traffic police officers who stopped me on the M11 this morning.

I was told the car had no MOT (I thought it was due in late August). Other copper checked over the car, and apart from telling me three of my tyres were absolute shite and about 1/18th inch away from the legal limit, one was illegal and I changed it for the spare. Was told I'd receive something in the post like a fine or something, but that can't be worse than being stranded 200 miles from home with the car on the back of a recovery truck. No mention whatsoever about seizure. :)

"Something in the post like a fine or something"..... What you had there, were two coppers at the end of their shift! Or because they didn't have the Police Interceptor Camera Action Stop Aaargh team filming them, they didn't feel the need to throw you to the floor for a tyre.

I finally got to polish my car, i remembered the tesco that's less than a mile from me has a nice covered section for click and collect I headed up, no staff even batted an eye lid, i had positive comments from passing shoppers getting in their cars.

Woman actually turned up and paid for the window! I'd written that off as a loss after she'd promised to come round a few days ago but some faith in humanity restored

Went out on Monday with stepson and his GF, and MrsR obviously.  As we sat down to eat MrsR was chuntering on about funeral plans, something that's been weighing on her mind for a while now.  It took all three of us to get her off the subject at last - long enough that we could choose our meals!  Stepson then weighed in with his news before she could start up again, and oh boy did it divert her attention.  We are going to be grandparents again!  Woohoo!

Is that what you have to do to change a bulb on one of those?

No,he was removing the two bolts holding on a splash shield,as it was getting a new aux belt and idle/tension pulleys.

The rule about arguing on the internet also applies to arguing on the road.

Is that the rule about the person who first mentions Hitler has lost the argument or the one about not calling the Fire Brigade to put out a flame war?

Ben is going off tomorrow to start a 2 week jaunt to the US of A. He and 2 mates are visiting Las Vegas, Chicago, New Orleans and finally New York. There will be food, drinking, gambling and stuff :)

Hope they have a blast.

He has worked his guts out as an NQT this year and deserves a bloody good break.

I am very jealous.

Someone who has recently moved in along the street has a modern VW van, a really nice Corrado, and another VW, and all advertised the scene, "Just Dubs" with whatever natty slogan they have about the scene to be in.

Recently, however, a very nice Fiat Punto has appeared (I can't fault their choice of vehicles, they're always spot-on condition-wise) has appeared, and after a month or so, it, too, has been sloganed-up.

Am I the only one who can see the irony here?

Thank God for that, for a horrible moment I thought that was how you had to top up the windscreen washers

A good egg! Good luck to her and her future parenting endeavours, I hope she uses this as leverage against her crotchfruit when it bleats, " Why can't we afford it?"

Achieved this in Saab on way from Accrington to London tonight.

Pretty impressed as round town it is more like 25mpg. Not bad for 2.3t estate.

'Just dubs uk'?

The real question is why Just dubs uk, and what uk is dubbed by Just.

Also, what's an uk? Grammar matters.

''eeerrrr....its the X button.....''

'Ohhh, fucking hell''
