Don't think the rear wiper is part of the test.

You're right, it isn't on the mot.

Isn't it? I thought it fell into the 'if its fitted its tested' group?

Well thats good then! If I get 5 minutes I'll take it all out and grease it up, but for now it can stay as it is!

That Peugeot looks nice, it's good when a car goes onto better use.

The fella that sold me the Starion said he'd send me loads of old photos, and after much prodding over 6 months, I don't think he can be arsed to. R-Sól.

^^ Lovely colour. Nice!

What my old grandad used to call 'Hencoyt green'. (He was from Yorkshire.......)

I do feel like I should be applying it to the crumbling remains of the back doors of an antiquated commercial with a 4" brush while wearing a brown overcoat and flat cap.

That green looks great. When I did the mini I ordered a pot of random "classic" green paint which turned out to be called Brunswick Green, and looked pretty nice.

No 37 in a long list of "why the fuck did I sell that?" cars that I have sunk a fortune in time and money into to do up and immediately sold on for a massive loss.

I am sitting with my feet up on the coffee table reading through this thread and cara the quality control german shepherd as seen in the wheel in Bath picture, has just gently climbed up on the sofa in between me and mrs fp and curled up as small as she can on my knee to say hello, I'm sure she thinks she's tiny

I've a Staffordshire Bull terrier who does that. Daft as a brush and so soft and docile. Still try sitting on my shoulder as he did when he was a pup. Also sits on wife's knee and curls up in a ball. He don't realise he is a lot bigger and heavier now he is 3 compared to when he was 3 months

This bad boy is ACE, been bombing about in it all week, it's quiet nippy really and as long as you stick to 65-70 the auto box is a nice cruiser.

Serviced it weekend, as was last done a few hundred miles ago but two years ago and when some 10w-40 a couple of filters and some plugs is less than 40 quid ya cannae go wrong.

It looks right at home on my mums drive as well for the suburban look 1995.

Nice motah, although looks like the cat is about to drop a dump on the bonnet....

Yesterday moaned that paint had bubbled up in new house after treating with ronseal base coat stuff.

Well take it all back. It did what it said on tin and today paintwork flat as witches tit.

Minty fresh grey 2CV van (Acadiane?) spotted in Bedford today. Even Mrs_Duke made noises of pleasure when she saw it. Massive rake on it leads me to believe it's actually used for hauling stuff around rather than just posing.

Spotted this on the way to work this morning.

Haven't you promised yourself a Cadillac long enough?

Went to vote even though I feel like death and look like the (just) walking dead. I was proper hobbling and people were NICE to me! :) Holding doors for me, ine lady even went back and re-opened the door after I was too slow, being offered chairs in the polling station, having my shopping carried out to the car....

What the actual fuck?

I could get used to this.... if only I didn't have to feel like this to get the treatment - downside to everything I suppose :)

Can't do shopping at the polling station you berk :)

The lady returning officer was rather 'pleasant' though - I complimented her on her choice of footwear... Doc Martins :)

One of my friends, a primary teacher, found this in her lesson material today:

My brother has found a Xantia estate the spit of mine locally for £nearlyfree, so similar is it he thought it was me making a clandestine visit until he noticed the white door mirrors.  It could be an early sinker too and as problematic as mine was for him while he owned it, the trouble free motoring I've had since has made him re-evaluate it as a possible mode of transport.  I've asked him to get me some pictures when he next sees it.

Is it the one next to the roundabout at Barlborough? I drove past one this morning with for sale painted on the window.

If you had 2 xantia estates then you need not move house-use one as a cupboard and live in the other:)

Accom and fleet in perfect harmony!

I was led to believe the really early Xantias are sinkers, but only at the back.  Once you got on to the facelift they weren't sinkers.  Could be wrong though, I don't know the actual facts.

@Cobblers: could be.  I think the seller wants £200 for it?

Glad the ex luke/minmad5/Hillmanimp volvo 760 has gone to a good home. I was getting that uneasy nagging feeling when you reallise you cant ignore the pull of a decent cheap motor any longer. Im off the hook!
