You just know from the first few seconds this is going to be awesome.

But you're wrong.

A vertically disadvantaged spirit guide is still evading apprehension following a spate of burglaries.

He is a small medium at large.

Sorry*

Two Ronnies?

Someone made a hole in the nudist camp fence.

Police are looking in to it.

Still better than 99% of the tosh on TV these days.

Frau_Stanky has demanded I buy her this, then stitch it for her for her next birthday. She's got a proper thing about John Nettles - He's pretty much the only person on her 'Allowed List' and he's about three times her age! Excellent find!

Carmageddon out on the roads of Surrey today with the m3 and m25 closed for most of the day. Thankfully being on the bike meant it didn't take very much longer to get home in the sun and am now sitting outside before dinner with a beer.

Bizarrely, I found it whilst looking for VIN plates after that E-type one turned up on ebay.

I love the way he looks like he's storing food and bedding in his cheeks, like a big hamster.

Been browsing the old photos on the Manchester City Council website. Look at this superbly low effort shop window promotion:

I'm sure there's still a road traffic sign like that near Eton.

What's the van?

Ahhhh - browsing Autoshite, free bath earlier courtesy of solar rays to soak away the aches from chainsawing all day, free wood heating the house as always, Geoff Boycott on TMS, good beer... what could be finer?

Finished off a dc01 from last year! Had a scan of our baby too but it moved about too much so it wasn't great but looks like there's only one in there thank fuck...

They had to use a probe scanner too, how we laughed...

I have to say Beeks, I really thoroughly enjoyed reading through your dc01 refurb thread. It was nice to read that an otherwise forgotten house appliance was given a new lease of life.

My nieghbour chucked a Henry hoover out a couple of years ago, I wish I'd known/thought about your enthusiasm as I'd have saved it and passed it on to you or given it a new lease of life with your guidance. I'd actually used said Henry when my own hoover decided to break. I've now got a non-decript Argos 1600 Watt non-bag hep-filter vacuum. It's great and does the job well, I shall seek your advice if it ever does break.

Also, I cleaned out a couple of Mahmouds hoovers recently as they were not picking up well, they'd not been cleaned out properly as the filters were a mess. One was a VAX and another was a very compact Dyson, cleaned out the filters, gave them a good wash and dry and got the hoovers working properly again!

Henry's are the dogs. Take a metric shitoad of abuse and with a little fettling, away they go again. All we use at work is Henry, hetty, Charles etc.

Keep to 45, like everyone once did in Blighty. That should sort the fuel consumption.

Isn't the compression low enough to run on a petro/kero mix? I think the wonderful K is under 40ppl, obviously only to be used on private roads, not the vulgor public variety which we pay through our noses for to use.

Cheers Mo! Always happy to help people with chod vacs!

Henrys are always easy, if it's an autosave (with the flower by the henry logo) they can normally be fixed by bypassing a switch. Older ones usually carbon brushes or rewind contacts.

I'd love to make a proper career out of it but that would never pay, and I'd probably end up hating them if I HAD to do it, when their an option for extra cash its not so bad. Hopefully this DC01 will be worth something in 30 odd years, then it will be worth it!

Almost tempting just for a laugh but a, it's a Ford ka, b, I could throw £50 at the zx and have a better return out of it

Happy to obtain and hold for a few days if anyone was really desperate though!

I bet there's no floors, sills or metal behind the filler flap along with no MoT.  If they were going to give me £50 to take it away I might still say no.

That would be the wisest view to take. Anything better would be a bonus. So bonusy in fact, it might be the week to put a lottery ticket on.

The National Lottery, not the AS Volvo kind.

What makes me grin, is that I went into a student union drunk, and came out sober. Achievement unlocked, level up.

Complete chaos coming home from work today, bloody Tarmac hogs taking all the space up and not getting out of the way.
