As per the dead telly thread, now have upgraded to a free, now not broken 40" flat screen! Which I've just got working.

Thanks a lot. Now that's in my Internet history!

You'd better clear that out before Special Branch turn up...

Evilbay appear to be saying due to new euro bollocks rules all business sellers are now charged fees without vat. A fee reduction on evilbay, never thought I'd see the day.

Course if you're not a business it's going up, as previously 15% vat and now 20%.

I fancy a road trip somewhere nonsensical. Anyone else interested?

Always.

OK, I'll play. Middle pic, far right.

If that does turn out to be Mrs_Joe, tell her I'd prefer a .22 to the back of the head, if possible. And no offence to your good self.

Has Mr Duke been assasinated? I met MRS_JOE and wouldn't mess with her. Makes a mean dinner though.

As an aside I got 8/10 on the beginner level ladyboy test so I'm not brave enough to try the more advanced tests... thankfully I know MISS_CMS hasn't ever had testicles so no danger while she's here.

I am on a bus, when I get off I will catch a train, then another bus, then a plane. When I get off the plane I will buy the most expensive car I have ever bought.

I will then drive home this weekend, MOT and register the car on UK plates and hopefully sell it for not much less than it cost me. I shall be keeping the unobtanium spares that came with the car. Yes, I am mainly buying this car for the spares that come with it.

Good luck Chris. If you are going where I think you are say Hello to John and Sue Chevalier for me.

They do. But, from 1st Jan for any digital transactions or downloads then the VAT is calculated on where the customer is located rather than the supplier. So because ebay are based in Luxembourg they used to just charge the standard VAT for Luxembourg to everyone regardless of where they are located, now the VAT they (or any other business for that matter) has to charge is based on where you are located.

The original plan was that this change would be for all products rather than just digital / downloadable products but fortunately that didn't happen [yet...]

And now it's not mega clear what ebay are up to. What a shock. It's looking like they're going to play +vat, including for fees from December.

Not looking forwards to paying 5% more :(

I have managed to completely delete myself from a well known dating website (with a name that rhymes with 'snatch.com') after being repeatedly told that it was impossible to do. Yesssssssss

Because some incompetent* forgot to disconnect the 300E's battery while it was hibernating, it is now as flat as Lincolnshire.  When I replaced the Blingo's battery last year, even though it turned out to be the alternator that was causing the loss of electricity I kept the old 62Ah Varta.

Tested today: fine.

.... I see, you decided to condense the 'membership fee' into just a straight Ebay purchase of a 'rubber fanny'..... COOL >> saves all that 'small talk/Dinner date' $hite   :-P

Today found a lost jar of 2007 homemade pickled onions with a habanero in the vinegar on top of a kitchen cupboard then dug out the slab of cheddar I've had maturing since 2009 (attempt at making Sbrinz) from the back of the fridge. Made a sandwich using half a loaf of freshly baked sour dough bread Put on Ry Cooder "Simple Tools"

Been watching Wallendar ( BBC four ), a Swedish four-parter filmed in the early nineties. Nice for a TV cop show but additionally there is loads of hot Volvo action, including a chase(?) involving a Volvo 240van and a Mercedes/Hanomag horse box. There is another episode tonight, with a Latvian connection.
Possible Lada content?

I saw the Wallander chase and while 240's are slow I was surprised the elderly Merc horse box had the legs of it. Ended in a pile of shite, aptly enough.
