For the hard of potatocam, its 29.1mpg over 31 miles in the 735i.

Its nearly fuckin economical!

That said its much more fun hustling mere mortals out the right hand lane, than it is bimbling along at giffer pace...

Gotta love a barge:)

I love dogs me! Yours look lovely. Dogs trust are great, I sponsor 'Sidney' to the tune of £20 a month and the little sweetie is always sending me cards/letters and other goodies. I'd quite happily adopt him but he's one of the mutts that will never get rehomed due to 'problems'.

I must say, his handwriting is excellent!

I absolutely adore my two mutts and would be lost without them. Phoebe is just the perfect dog but her arthritus is getting to be a major worry, while Chester is a little shit (not so little either!) but I wouldn't have him any other way! He likes to think he's big and brave but not so much when something scares him at 6:oo a.m. and he lies full length on me 'cos he needs a cuddle! 32 kgs of fat Basset is hard on the ribcage.

Ha, so do I! Our dog has her birthday today, the 'big 4' so I might take her to the beach later as a treat once I've finished the work for the day. She absolutely loves running up and down it chasing a ball.

Talking of nobs, Partridge must have been to my workplace as someone has drawn a cock and balls on the wall in one of the toilet cubicles.  My colleague has suggested it should make the next staff communications bulletin rather than the usual cobblers we get fed every Friday.

Just got my car back from the garage where it's had a thorough fettling.

You know when you use a car every day and get used to the flaws and difficulties of using it, blaming it on the car being a bit old and crap?

Well basically it turns out that I'm a bit crap at maintaining the car and it feels like a completely different vehicle to drive.  I no longer need muscles of garth to operate the clutch, it's so much slicker through the gears, they've sorted the blow in the exhaust, replaced the dizzy and rotor arm etc... so now it's so smooth. It's completely transformed the car.

I'm a little ecstatic.

I must also remember to check the clutch fluid reservoir from time to time.  And be less inept when fitting exhausts.

This also means I don't have to drive the works Caravelle, which was rather cumbersome and didn't fit outside our house.

Going to have an extended drive home through the warwickshire countryside this evening.

Tax refund dropped through the letterbox this morning

Already perusing the Tat thread for possible replacements for the T5,although I am still enjoying it a bit much at the mo

And I know I won't find anything comparable for anywhere near the same value.........

Decisions   Decisions....

Oh, forgot that, this was the SAAB which recently had an enforced rest due to the petrol pipes not wanting to contain petrol any more and needing a service.

I've just walked outside the office to take a photo of the good side (less primer / rust). A lady looked at me funny.  Nothing has really changed other than the installation of a tartan blanket to protect the rear seat from muddy dogs.

Might even try and get it washed as it's going to be going to the 2cv Halloween camp this weekend due to a lack of MOT on either Citroen.

Photobucket is just awful.

Tis my burfday today and I told just one of my new friends. Saw her today and berated her for forgetting my 'special' day (good natured banter!) when she completely blew me out of the water by pulling a card and pressie out of her coat pocket!

Bloody women!   :)

I love dogs, i find it hard when we visit the local dogs home to give the dogs treats as I want to take them all home with me, my German Shepherd is a lovable character who I'd be lost without

I can;t go to a shelter at all... I just stand there blubbing like a girly! I love dogs and hate the bastards that mistreat them. Chester is like a breath of fresh air - he' so friendly to man and dog alike and always wants to play... but he's fat and slow and feigns disinterest when some fast dog tries to play with him. He's a real comical character and always makes me smile. He's currently fast asleep inder my armpit making typing interesting!

I only go to give them a little bit of happiness and love that they wouldn't have got, it upsets the hell out of me to see them like that. I would happily stamp on animal abusers faces and genitals

Todays grin for me is that plans for acquiring another Daihatsu are taking shape. The seller of said car is trying to acquire another Avanzato, which I would deliver to him (in Jersey) and then return home in my preferred Daihatsu. I'm really hoping this works out.

They`re not mine, just two daft pics oft tinternet .

My two were English Bull Terriers. Brilliant animals. I will go back to the dogs trust though. One wee dog I saw there had been thrown from a car an left in a car park with a broken leg. He seems ok now though and was taken in by an old couple.

Anyway, dogs do make me grin. In fact I prefer them to most people.

That new wheeler dealers program is unwatchable due to how he fucking quotes every price In dollars even though he's in the uk, Australia or what ever.

So you're asking 5000 dollars for your car?

No fuck off I live in accrington not Alabama I want 3500 POUNDS.

I found it completely unbelievable unfortunately. Brewer buys Mk1 Golf GTi off eBay for peanuts and sells to someone from the owners club straight away a for a big profit.

Surely someone that keen on buying a certain car would have a saved search set up on ebay already and if they're in the OC would be able to garner enough support to change a chuffing track rod end?!?
