What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Bought a scrap modern shitty dyson ball for £20.

The brushroll assembly sold for £60, and the hose, handle and tools went for £20 last night!

Got more bits washed up ready for ebay, its much easier selling hoovers for scrap, you dont need a driveway or anything.

Although rather than two princesses (as great as that would be) I'd settle for 2 XM's!

Mondeo has just sailed through another MOT with no issues, people slag them off but I think they are great. Well, this one has been anyway.

Funeral today. That's not why I'm grinning - that'd be a bit odd. No, I'm grinning because my mate transported me there and back in his seriously scruffy Renault Espace MkII. What a great car. I may have to consider owning one before they all vanish.

Congratulations Wilko. I guess there is nothing like the feeling of being a father.

On the subject of names. Sister_Sterlings initials are 'BLR' for which a while ago I designed her name into the British Leyland Logo.

This was the scene in Mucking Fental earlier this afternoon.  It's much the same scene now, but darker because the sun's gone down.

Work are cunts. Our holiday policy has always been that you can carry over as much holiday as you want as hey its your holiday. Just dont take it when you are needed next year.

Now they have said in September of a Jan-Dec holiday year that I need to take all my holiday as I can't carry any over anymore. Its not like I have a lot to take but ut would have been nice if I could have taken it in the summer rather than you telling me this as soon as the sun has gone away.

However as I have so much holiday to take I have booked next week off and am going to finally do a weeks worth of work on the GT6.  :)

Started teaching a new class this morning, I'm always a little apprehensive with new groups, wondering what they'll be like.

13 students, 19-21 years old, 1 male, 12 banging hot Czech females. Result.

I'm a dead professional teacher me.

What are you teaching? Years ago I was (pushed into) a Travel and Tourism course where there were 20-odd 17-year old girls, 4 lads including myself.

English as a second language.
I was trying to find the clip from TMWRNJ with Stewart Lee as a teacher trying to be cool with Kelly Brook to illustrate this.

'Yeah that's right, I enjoy the music of Crowded House, bet you didn't expect that'.

It's not against the rules to date your adult students, it's only frowned upon. Like having a hotplate in your office.

19-21 years, you say?

.....and the problem is what, exactly?

I'm not there to help.

Ha! That is most amusing, even if it is likely to make apple more money in the long run with people having to buy new ones.

So a single drop of water makes the whole thing shut down... Didn't Lucas invent* this back in the 1940s ?

Yes, and NetworkRail extended it to cover a single flake of snow.

On the topic of ruined iPhones, it always makes me smile when I see a severely smashed one being sold just as 'faulty'. "Oh dear, my phone has developed a fault which has caused the screen to be trodden on".

Like this one. "For sale my iPhone 4, due to upgrade". Upgrade to one not trod on. "screen is cracked" yes, cracked in at least 50 separate instances which together form a shattering.

Everyone I know with an Iphone has broken the screen at least once. My mum's boyfriend was recently telling me how it was 'only' £100 to replace the glass.
You can't tell me that apple didn't plan it.

Iphones - pay double the price for an inferior product and spend your life trying to convince yourself that it was worth the money.

I've got an iPhone (yeah, yeah, I know) but sadly I'm so used to the 'buttons' that everything else I've tried so far is impossible to work with my shit eyes and massive, gammy spaz hands.
