Billy Connolly back when he'd started to swear a bit less but political correctness was not yet a thing.
One of his typical shaggy dog stories.

An American friend of mine has been running an internet TV station for a couple of years now, it shows a mix of original programming and old movies/tv.

He's been in talks with a local cable provider about getting it onto broadcast TV. It is at the stage where it is definitely happening, and relatively soon.

I'm going to be helping out with video editing and some other stuff for their original stuff, I'm quite excited to have something meaningful to do!

Once things have calmed down a bit we're going to work towards me producing my own show(s) too, which is very exciting indeed.

Mr @binhoker668 and I had a recent jaunt to Berlin for a few days. Absolutely cracking it was.

Here he is at the door of our random shop/house we rented for the duration. The nursery opposite has a great name!

It's raining :-(
My morning's work in coding is failing miserably because the API documentation from the bank concerned is incomplete/out of date :-(
But
Topcashback think I have spent £124.99 at ECP and are going to give me £3.18 cash. Cool.

I haven't bought anything on my account there since 2018 :-)

I'm all excited now to see if I get the cash and, possibly, a random selection of unordered parts rocks up.......

When retaining walls attack! Or at least get a bit tired and stop retaining.

Not sure if this fits but this made me chuckle slightly.

Someone I know messaged me out of the blue the other day, and asked if I had a 11 plate astra a year or so back. I responded yes, but I don't have it anymore as it was written off.

They respond with "I know" and send this

Good God I thought, that's grim. Gingerly responded with "it had to go as that wouldn't buff out".

I should add that no one was injured when this happened, and it's often the butt of jokes when talking about driving experiences.

Its nice to have a car that people notice in a nice way, understated class.

I parked up the Jag at Woluwe Shopping Centre. As I was getting out and locking the car, a carpark cleaner on a cleaning machine ride by giving me the thumbs up signing that he liked the car.

That's my new measure of whether a country has achieved peak civilisation and maybe teetering on the brink of 'lord of the flies' disaster; the multistorey carparks have zambonis cleaning them.

Yeah, a tad better than our over-priced piss-smelling carparks of which spaces barely fit a K11 Micra.

After thirty years of constant back pain of varying degrees, and being roundly dismissed by various health professionals - in my mid-twenties I was still being told it was growing pains! - I finally had an appointment with a physiotherapist who took me seriously.  What do you know, he found the cause of the problem!  It's exacerbated by 30 years of mismanagement and neglect so it's going to take some time to undo.  All is not lost, it's nothing serious, it's something that physiotherapy can correct.

What was probably an easy fix when I first asked for help has had a couple of decades to compound on itself, leading to some interesting quirks like the fact when I lay on my back and raise my right leg I can't also raise my head, the message gets sent, but I physically can't do it.  My lower back is effectively locked solid too and has been for a very long time.

I'm simultaneously angry that a problem that was minor now isn't, and relieved that it can be fixed with exercise instead of medication or surgery.  Can't praise the physiotherapist highly enough, he took time to explain the problem, and help me find a solution, as well as providing other resources I can access to help with mental health issues that have been adding stress and tension on top of the physical issues.

I'm a fucking mess, much more than I realised, and it's okay because I'm actually getting help.  This news almost makes up for the shitshow that August has been.
