I can recommend the Volvo museum in Gothenburg if you are nearby. I was there about 15 years ago and it was great.

Never heard of that issue before. We always went in the evening or Sunday afternoon when the shops are closed, never had any problems.

Seems to be a recent thing.  I have never encountered it either.  Could be regional.

It is. But is worth it as it saves a lot of money to do it this way.

I'll see how it goes when number 3 child turns 17 in October 23 - then 2.5 years after that I can show the youngest the basics and retire from teaching new drivers - I hate it.

You're a braver man than me driving that distance in a Citybug.  FOD is about the limit for me in mine.

If anyone else does this avoid Parking Eye type carparks when the shops are shut.  You are allowed to park there for 2 hours or whatever to use the shop.  If it's shut then you aren't using the shop so you can be fined.  I think they won a case against someone who was there at night using an electric car charger (which they paid separately for).

Steve Wright's last show on R2 today, and (you'll never believe this)

'Wright repeatedly said there would be no self-indulgence but his audience hadn’t got the memo, sending in gushing messages of gratitude.'
