That's fucking brilliant. ^^^

My happy thing today is seeing my little boy in his Xmas play. He was a narrator and was the first on stage, so proud of him.

In other news, the Corolla is still plodding on faultlessly, having now racked up 1300 miles in about a month.

Jazz approaching 79000 miles. It also will be the berfday of Colin. Please, donate ConkA

I’m just back from Christmas drinks at the big house. Now having a proper drink! Nibbles were very nice again- lots of proper pork crackling. Once again I was the only one of my neighbours to walk up the drive - one even stopped to offer me a lift. Perhaps taking the 2cv would have raised the tone of the parking amongst the range rovers and bentleys?

Anyway, posh card time...post-8687-0-67477900-1544561017_thumb.jpeg

Is it a bird, is it a plane? Well yes, it’s a personal flypast over buck house.post-8687-0-19596100-1544561117_thumb.jpeg

Today I have been dangerously close to Hairnet, watching Musical Offspring graduate from RNCM:

No really, it's just something in my eye...  :)

It’s quite late in the year ( mine was in the summertime ) or are the terms an odd sequence with music? Anyway you must be proud ( and he looks happy too). Was it a PhD now?

Apart from the abuse victims?

Oh yes, hit shite gold on freegle. You know its going to be good when you get an email like this through:

Redacted the important bits, pics to follow. Also, this will be free to any resident Cortina lickers, please form an orderly queue.

Cross posting to drive traffic - now broken down into 'lots' and in the shitecycle thread starting here

He's the last of his high school pals to graduate, apart from his friend Natalia who also did four years at RNCM!  He's just completed the first term of a Masters in Musical Performance at Guildhall.

The fun you would take a picture of you with your knob hanging out just above that photograph. I don't want to see it, I hasten to add.

He lives in a slightly bizarre part of the world, so that type of thing is ironically normal!

Where - at drinks this evening? Yes, the whole family plus dogs. He didn’t seem to do a circuit this year- perhaps he was avoiding my group after I nearly knocked a table lamp over! We had a couple of words leaving.

It’s a bit of an odd pic I agree. Last year was mAlaysia I think, and the year before a group shot.

To counter the DHL etc. misery in the grump thread, I've noticed a black Insignia drive up the street at around 3pm most days and a very tall, slim woman leaps out and takes packages next door.

This afternoon her driver/husband also got out and took some parcels then rearranged some others in the car.

Comes a knock at the door but by the time I got there she was headed back next door, was nothing for me but next door had taken ages to answer.

Needless to say that I was slightly miffed it wasn't for me.

She looks like this:

Is it later to allow retakes to be graduating with their peers?

My daughter's was in the middle of summer this year in Cardiff only 2 weeks after getting the results meaning that we had to book hotels before she took the exams.

No.  Conservatoires just seem to be a law unto themselves!

That might be true but my own graduation from Coventry (Lanchester) Polytechnic was late November. Had to take a day off work.
