What's the reason for the red? I have no doubt you will know the answer!

Really what a question! We all know what red lights are for. :-D

Seriously, when in the military we used to colour our torches with red chinagraphs- that way we could read the maps and the "enemy could" not spot us so  easily. Red has a longer wave length.

New toy arrived this week :)

An unused backhoe for my shite Chinese tractor. Best of all, no money changed hands, I got this in exchange for some sparky work.

Just need to extend two hoses and make a seat then I can dig some holes :)

I have today read the funniest quote ever.

While on youtube I clicked on a film called Cannonball - it was released as carquake in the UK. David Carradine was the main star.

One of the youtube quotes was " no film was too cheap for David Carradine."

Not often I cry laughing.

Ah, chinagraphs, I miss them, used to borrow* them from work, they would mark on anything wet or dry.

Work used them for marking photos for reject or remake because the (black) chinagraph reflected infra red big time so the machine sensors could pick up the marks easy.

I guess red chinagraph would absorb infra red ? I'd hope so coz your "enemy" would spot you from miles away...

Don't spend a lot of time on faceache anymore but I had a gander this afternoon and saw a picture of one of my old school friends who is apparently in Birmingham today.

The pic made me smile quite a lot....

It must be 20 years since I last saw this chap and here he is sitting in TWC grinning like a Cheshire cat.

I too was digging through some old pictures and found this, of my old 106 Rallye:

You could change the back wheels by driving the front ones onto a brick.

String of thunderstorms. Went outside, got drenched. Fun! Then went to colvert in driveway to see how the thing's doing as it was blocked for 7 years. After drain men came along, it's now raging and castading again. I happy man. Also means houses up the hill won't have lakes as gardens.

That back drum looks like a really tiny wheel.

Cambelt done today by my cousin. As expected there was nothing wrong with the belt or the water pump, or the tensioner for that matter so I didn’t really need to have it done. Car was on exactly 88000 miles. Its nice to not be playing Cambelt roulette anymore.

Unfashionable? It almost disappeared in the 50s and 60s by all accounts, seems to be getting bigger every year now...

The flash of realisation that...

Marvel's Doctor Strange is not an original premise - a former surgeon, so badly injured that he can no longer operate, seeks answers and a cure and ends up going back in time...

Yeah, right. This is just a rip off of Doc Martin, with the more glamorous backdrop of New York rather than Port Wen's last-century charm, and love interest of an OR nurse played by Rachel McAdams rather than Caroline Catz's primary school teacher. His nemesis? Wiry Mads Mikkelsen takes the place of cuddly Ian McNeice.

You know I'm right*

A woman in the office that I'm working in today has put her coat on, and I would not be surprised if Canley phoned from 1980 and demanded the return of the TR7 interior...

Ok, it was white, black, and orange tartan, but that's what I thought of immediately!

(Ta to Jalopnik for the pic)

Saw a Chinese Maxxxxxus today - 18 plate.

With just a bit of road grime covering it it looked every bit as amazingly shit as an old one

Sweetcorn?!?!?

Yes!

Yeah but you will be having value noodles on Sunday lunch.

Lol doubt it, when a butchers around here shutdown recently the local shop was getting rid of the meat. Today's joint serves two & was £2.50.

Besides I'm off work with a stinking cold so it's comfort food :)
