Well today I visited Waitrose, lidl, Aldi and laithwaites in that order. I had a quick glance and had the oldest car in every carpark. I like bargains wherever they are.

 

Edit although I did drive all the way into Windsor before finding I didn’t have change for the meter and refused to pay the phone surcharge and so drove to work instead, got the tea money and drove back again. At 28mpg this does not really make sense.

Manatees and dugongs make me smile. I have no idea what made me fascinated with these creatures.

Got faces that only a mother could love but they're so graceful in the water for something that weighs half a ton and quite like human contact. And they have flippernails.

Depends, if its had a new gearbox fitted of late could be OK. That's the decider with those, 2nd and 6th bearings failing. Needless to say replacement boxes are at a premium. I don't think the engine itself is any worse than anything else AFAIK. Turbo solenoids go with regularity as does the EGR cooler.

Another year, another clean (ish) sheet for the Octy. It's needed a front pipe, a rear caliper and a service and coolant change but hey, its cost me about two monthly payments on a new VRS on lease to keep for the year. Its probably not 75% of the forum members' cuppa but I love it. The fact I've had it nearly three years (considering how long I normally keep cars) speaks volumes.
