Me and Eva went for a walk this afternoon, to the park. We spot the ice cream van so toddle over, into the skate park, where some massive skater thing was on. There were people from magazines there, fit birds with very nice looking cameras, a guy DJ'ing, people marking the sk8ers.

We sat and watched it for about an hour, now I keep singing avril lavigne

Very nice!

What other cars have recognisable fabric like that? Golf GTI perhaps? In fact I would spot a whole load of VW fabrics, but I'm strange.

Audi Quattro Sport material too, with the QUATTRO written diagonally.

I'm pretty sure my mum used to have curtains in the 90s that were quite similar to Citroen Saxo seat cloth.

^^^^ I'd happily get my whole body retrimmed in the ace Porsche 924 optical freak out fabric.

^I saw a Pascha cushion in a charity shop the other week, made me smile.

... fit birds with very nice looking cameras...

Is that what the young people are calling them these days?

I'm not sure, there's not really anywhere in my house to put it though as all but one room (mine) is painted sodding blood and custard, and I only have an office chair.

I'd have thought the parcel shelf of the A4 would benefit from the addition of a flumpy freaky checkerboard upscale.

So, we go on holiday next week, mon to Friday to Rockely park. Us and a mate to make the numbers up/price cheaper. Bird and mate have a jolly wheeze to go on friday and just stay somewhere over the weekend.

One problem, Im on a late on friday, and theres no 4 person places cheap for 3 days.

So, on friday before I get back from work, they are all pissing off to another haven for 3 nights, leaving me fully on my own! Ill then drive down to poole on monday morning and meet them.

Amy thinks Im upset that I cant go on thebweekend, Id bounce off the walls with joy if I could, a full free weekend!

can get the shed sorted now, and a tip run, maybe wash the car, drink beer in my pants watching lovejoy or summat, bliss!

You've reminded me of when we did a buyage...

I've been waiting 2 years for someone to recognise my wallet, I so don't move in the right circles. Maybe some m-tech socks will have a better chance.  :-D

I've just been introduced to the film Hard Ticket to Hawaii. Woeful dialogue, piss-poor acting, ridiculous action scenes - it's briliant! For those who haven't seen it, here's two of the best* bits...

Today I helped scrap a car for the first time.

Girlfriends ultra rusty T reg Polo got taken this morning, amazing how the front end basically dissolved whilst on hard ground for 12+months.

Also grin worthy as the scrappy inadvertently put the cheque in my name, cheers guys!

I managed to learn how to play "Living After Midnight" including the solo, by Judas Priest, while sitting in front of my computer, logged into Zendesk and waiting for tickets. Only had one in 6 hours.

I had a major 'grump' yesterday about the guy who painted my car, being an arse and refusing to answer my calls about a couple of runs he left. Well, the grin is: he just rang me, apologised for being an arse (seriously!) blamed work/women etc and asked if he could do it tomorrow!

Yes, sure, no problem!

Maybe he's just a moody bugger?

New old stock Alpine stereo has arrived from the land of the free. Totally identical to the one in my car, wiring the same, everything except this has 'Alpine' branding and RR deleted it (brands are soooooo common!) on their ones. All works perfectly. Even the lights on this work which they never did on the old one.

So, I have just spunked a load more money that I haven't got on a new aerial and a load of relays to cure the last couple of faults - aerial only goes halfway up, and sometimes (totally unpredictably to make it worse) she doesn't respond to the key.... nothing, no click or whirr, all the lights work and stereo on etc, just no starter action. It is a 'known' fault but no one seems to know what it is!

Feeling a bit ashamed and non-shitey, bought the newest motah I have ever purchased for the wife to cart our baby lad and the dogs around in. Its a 57 plate Mazda 6 wagon and I have to say I like it a lot, especially as I bargained the gent selling it down to £1700. I did bury my face in dusty fifties Longbridge as soon as I got home and took the a35 for a blat.

I took the plunge and picked a BIG scab on the dolomite. I was hopeful it was just the paint that had lifted and thankfully it was. Underneath was surface rust and a one small area needing repair. I know the other side is worse but it's still a days work I don't need to do now. Happy days.
