I finally managed to visit a small garage in Knighton, Powys that catches my eye every time I drive past. Chap was happy to take us around his little collection and talk about them, even though he was really busy.

 

Mostly, it was Rootes stuff, just what Midnite loves. The chap has no fewer than four Crossleys though! I've never seen so many in one place. This is obviously my favourite.

 

This Avenger Tiger is obviously quite delicious too, even though I'm more a fan of the cooking models.

 

He has a delightful, unrestored 1964 Imp, a lightly modified Stiletto and this absolute honey - completely original.

 

He has good period advert skills too.

 

Different times. I bet even Midnite likes this one, because OMG ITS A LADY!

 

An enjoyable morning out.

I let a lovely red Italian car out of a junction today and had the pleasure of following a car with carbs (lots of carbs!) and smelling petrol fumes as he burbled along. It was utterly mint.

I picked up 5l of 10w-40 semi synth oil at ecp for £5.99 + vat, made paying £16 for a pair of wiper blades a little more palatable

There's a drama on S4C right now, "Y streic a fi" (the strike and me) set in South Wales 1984, I think it won a Bafta.

 

Anyway, the details including/especially the car are ace so far.

 

Might be worth a look if you've nowt else on.

I got given one and after tripping over the wires and moving it about and realising it took up a lot of space I put it on eBay and got £40 for it
