Looking for a hire car for our hols in Portugal

A Punto £430 for 2 weeks. Cheaper to buy Billy's and Chris's and drive over.

Seems dear, when are you going?

Have a look at this broker http://www.affordablecarhire.com/en/home/index

Also worth remembering as of 1st June the paper part of the license is not a valid document so its worth reading this to make sure your prepared.

On my lunchtime stroll: Citroen C5 HDi estate on pallets in the corner of a car park.

No wheels, rusty discs.

No one around and engine running.

Still there, still running half an hour later. Still no one around. (No green puddles!)

Rimjobs FTW. 19 hours from order to delivery.

Just finished work and am now off till Monday 1st June

Got a big Husky get together up Leeds way over the bank holiday so will be grabbing the caravan out of storage at silly o'clock tomorrow morning

Gave it a trial run behind the Mrs' D3 last week and you could barely feel it was there....

And the weather looks fairly promising too !!!

Today was awesome, we had a big client in at work and they laid on some 'ents' for them, which we all got a go on.

Hovercraft!

The farmer who owns the land round the office mowed an oval 'track' and we got about half an hour each hooning fibreglass single 'seater' hovercraft about. They were a total hoot, pretty much like time spent 15 years ago hooning a Volvo 340 around the smallholding my parents rented at the time, in terms of grip, ability and sideways action.

If you get a chance to have a go, do. It kills your thighs as thats where all the leaning/holding on tight to the petrol-tank-cum-seat arrangement happens, but they were wicked.

This quote- talking about a xantia v6..

Go in with eyes open.

Think of it as being with a prostitute - highly enjoyable until the money runs out.

I would put it in the quote thread but i cant find it

My neighbour's (lovely) staffie making a right racket in the back yard. Went outside to see what the fuss was about and one of our cats was reaching through the fence repeatedly twatting him one in the face.

I just got the funniest picture in my head of a cat twatting a staffie

Had a weird moment with cats today. Next door neighbours cat Oscar was at the porch door, not seen him for ages, gave him a quick stroke on the head, and put some food out for him.

saw my neighbour Henry later on and said 'Just fed Oscar nay saw him for a while' he looked and said he died in March.

WTF?! Must have a bloody good double who is called Oscar!

Took the Jag of much Beige to the office today, and the MD, decided to tell me about his previous addictions to SD1's and XJ12's.

As the parked his leased Golf Mkxx8.

He admitted that I won in the car park.

Just seen the Vulcan flying over RAF Evelington! Was doing some really big slow turns then going straight up. I don't think I've seen one flying since about 1988 was most exciting. Shame we were driving past and couldn't stop
