Haven't the knob warblers selling 09/14 "OMG LAST EVER TAX DISC" on eBay not realised that the ones that expired yesterday, were issued 6 months or 12 months ago so are nowhere near "last".

Posted

Holy hell people are bidding the cut out and keep laser ones up to over £25. Who did I tell not to cut theirs out, was it Tayne?

It was me. And they are still intact as I did as you suggested for the two tax discs I had...I copied them at work on the colour copier and put the copies in the windscreens...I even kept the envelopes they came in...

Can't believe that E-bay price...Cheers Conrad... :-D :-D :-D

I am guessing the latest tax disc would be expiring 08/15 if someone taxed thier car for a year in September?

These will end up being some stupid holy grail peices of motoring memorabilia im sure. My current car has all the old tax discs stuffed in the Service History going back about 14 years.

Mine expires 8/15. I am still displaying it with pride....

And because I forgot to take it off the screen/not sure I want to as I've always seen it as proof the bloody thing is taxed and I know when it's due just by a glance.  Feels wrong somehow to not have a tax disc.....

Wow, Worlingham Motor Co - Pa_Norbert's workplace for a few months in the late 80s. Google Streetview shows it to just be car sales now but they did do fuel (by Phoenix, 'The East Anglian Fuel Company'), sales and servicing/repairs back in the day. The company hack was a really nicely signwritten Chevanne that I used to love riding in.

I love Ikea though I suspect I'm in the minority... I now know my way round the one at Braehead, which is ideal 'cos the first time I went I'm pretty sure I went in to Braehead and came out the one in Newcastle.

I've lost three girlfriends in the IKEA at the Metrocentre. I take great comfort from knowing that they are at least comfortable.

Well, it makes a change from MIG wire.

No euro-monging in the Land Rover for me this year but a friend sent me a little piece of a hot and sunny location to bolt on.

An old woman just asked 'can you help me across the road son' and went on to say 'I'm 94 you know' when I did. I thought both these things were urban myths.

You obviously haven't played the far superior Pyongyang Racer.

It's worth it just for the music.

Confuse them even more by claiming it was a special edition to celebrate the international success of the homonymous rock band. Like those 'Pink Floyd' Golf Mk.3s, only leaf sprung.

The sequel was dire, sadly.

SniffPetrol's Paris Motor Show report.

http://sniffpetrol.com/2014/10/02/the-2014-paris-motor-show/

Paris was the first public showing for the new Vauxhall Corsa which will come with a fresh range of trim names, designed to reflect the car’s classic customer base. ‘The range starts with Learner,’ confirmed a spokesman. ‘Then rises through Cretin, Moron, Simpleton and Tit.’

Years ago I kept some notes of sellers comments on Trade Me , our version of Ebay.

Somehow they came back to life and one page re-emerged. Enjoy the little bit I found ! These folks exist world wide.
