Followed a y reg first generation Prius earlier. Was being driven like a dick sadly but looks shite tastic! Bet their holding their value a bit still though.

What is that rover? Guessing diesel due to low redline. Never knew a derv rover could shift like that

It's a 220 SDi that's been mildly played with (decat pipe, EGR valve blanked off, K&N cone filter and a Roverron VP37 tuning box).  It's only running about 130bhp at the moment, but it has a metric fuckload of torque, which in a fairly light car means it goes pretty well.

Is that the engine that had either 85 or 105 if i recall as standard depending if had inter cooler it not? Pulled like fuck though. My vectra goes well but don't seem that quick to 90

I've been in it, a couple of years ago, and it goes like effing stink.  Brilliant sleeper.

Does it still have that fetching blue body/silver bonnet combo?

Holy mother of fuck Wuvz that thing goes like the hammers of buggery!

Hard to think of a better way of summing it up, so CMS has saved me the bother of trying.

Yep.  Mine's intercooled so had 105 (or 103, depending who you believe) as standard.  The tuning box has much more of an effect than a 20% power increase would lead you to expect though - it makes the car far more responsive than an old turbo diesel has any right to be, just touch the accelerator and it's away.

It certainly does.  I actually picked up a couple of rattle cans of the correct shade of blue from Poundland when they were doing car paint earlier in the year, but I've decided I like it better as it is.

I'd like one of those just so I can correct pub car cocks that tell me it's SD1 not SDi

That sounds similar to the mods done to my VW boring, apart from the filter, it also has a VP37 pump iirc. Torque for mine is around 300nm.

I am having impure thoughts about the Blingo and its EGR valve.  Time for another absolution from Monsignor FPB7.

I've got an old battered about, scratched and dented Vectra diesel with a rusty door, you have a smart looking (clean) BMW Mini about three years old. If you decide to park virtually right against my door, you selfish twat, then one of us won't mind another battle scar on their car. The other one might.

Hooray, my scanner is working!

Now I've finished working through the backlog of stuff to scan I realise it may have been foolish to put the scanner downstairs while my work room is upstairs, today has most definitely become 'leg day'.

I'm watching some sort of ABBA in concert thing from 1979 on CH5.  I actually believe it's physically impossible not to fancy Agnetha.

Grump and Grin - more grin than grump I think?

SWMBO's Micra hilariously failed it's M.o.T this week (crossmember rot, windscreen, brakes and other shizz) so we're doing a James Brown and taking it to the bridge...

..so a replacement is on the cards. I'm off to look at some modern-ish German shite tomorrow. OMG PINAPLEZ SLAMD DRIFT YO.

I assumed my cruise control was broken, but idly messing around with the buttons on the way home tonight suddenly caused it to spring into life (seems I had to hold pause for a few seconds) but there's no indication on the dash or display to say if it's working. After asking on the owner's club apparently there is nothing in the car to tell you it's working. Nicely thought out there Peugeot

I can never work out who's who, is that the one with the beard or the younger looking one?
