I noticed an interesting car:

I didn't speak to the owner, but I did speak to the owner of this amazing thing:

Rover 75 2.0 Diesel. A great looking car, I've always had an eye for these. Not a fan of diesel cars but I do like a nice 75.

Later. I only just made it to my other home here in Brussels. Going to sleep now. Vectra was monster of a car that handled the British, French and Belgium motorways like it was nothing. What a car.

Fashionable to knock em. They were just good cars. Period.

12 years yesterday since my grandad passed away.

At 5:45 yesterday morning I became a grandad, at the same age (46y, 4.5 months give or take a day) my grandad was when I was born.

My grandmother and (step) grandad had a similar talbot alpine. Bought new and he had a heart attack driving it the next week. He did drive it again but it was a couple of years and the tyres had perished.

Edited for scandinavianness. Winter tyres are awful in the summer 🙂

With one exception: Sumitomo WT200. It took 4 Romanian summers to make them unfit in the snow.

Haven’t tried Sumitomo, but that sounds like they were a pretty hard compound to begin with? 🙂

Had the crashed Mazda 6 lifted on Tuesday, got £100 for it, better than paying to have it dragged away.

Tried to claim the tax back online and got nowhere.  I blame the DVLA website but it is probably me.

Cheque for the remaining tax came this morning.  Been and paid it in to the bank.  Possible to use the ATM or send a photo in but I would probably make a mess of it.

We’re currently in a micropub in Southport and passed this place earlier on as we passed through Ormskirk…I wondered what it was!

Spoilt myself as eye tests are now free, prescription varifocal Ray-Ban sunglasses.  😎

The road ahead, behind and dashboard are crystal clear now in the sun, the trees look greener. 😊

The Android head unit I've spent ages getting to work in the S211 to use Waze has a screen  blacker than a black thing painted black at midnight thanks to the polarised lenses. 🤡

Yep this unfortunately is the downside to polarised lenses - guessing radio stations and guessing sat nav directions!

Moving your head in line with the screens, while impractical, will make things clearer 😂.

They are a game changer for normal every day things though.

I don't use an alarm clock most days anymore, I find that I'm much better rested than when I used to try to make myself wake up at a specific time (no matter how late I set the alarm I'd just sleep through it anyway)

When the days are longer I generally wake up pretty early, though this past few days I've been waking up around 10. Thankfully it doesn't really matter.

Today however I woke up at 11, and I got a bit worried because that's getting into waking up in the afternoon territory which usually means I'm about to get really depressed.

Then I looked at the calendar... It's the clock that's wrong, not my circadian rhythm!

I am slowly selling off some of my late father in law's bits and pieces. We have no need for his clean and tidy cement mixer so I had a look on Facebook to try and gauge a fair value for it as I don't have a clue and saw this gem.
