Bollocks, I'm 59. ☹️

I'm 76 so would qualify.

But I don't like Asda, they have closed the cafeteria and all that remains is a vending machine and a couple of tables near the checkouts.

Accidentally discovered something I didn’t know my phone can do - if you take a photo of a warning light on your dash it will tell you what the symbol means. Obviously we all know what these two mean but could be useful in a borrowed modern.

The brand new Princess windscreen I paid for back in June is finally being delivered tomorrow.  About £600, and it had to come via Finland for some reason, made by Pilkingtons who supplied the original screen over forty years ago when the car was new.

Something potentially worth investigating is whether the insurance company will foot some of the bill for this? I appreciate its not the same, but due to its rarity, I had to source a new windscreen for my Sirion myself, as the insurance provider's approved suppliers couldn't get stock. I spoke to a very helpful lady who pointed me to the clause in the insurance policy that said that if I used their approved providers then the excess was £75, BUT that if I used someone else, got a VAT invoice for the work and sent it to the insurer they would reimburse me less a £125 excess (which they subsequently reduced to £75 as they acknowledged they couldn't source it, but I digress).

Anyway, possibly phone the insurer or look closely at the glass cover section of the policy because you may be able to claim a large portion of the cost you have incurred having a new screen made by Father Chrismas in Lapland back from the insurer.

It might affect my renewal price though.  I didn't need to make a claim and it's paid for now so I'm okay with it.

How would he know? He can’t have it. Anyway, butter is the Devils semen, according to that famed literary tome, “How to be a complete Bastard” by Adrian Edmonson from the 1980s, iirc🙂

And it still ended up ugly.

I think it would look a lot better in a different colour, maybe a metallic racing green? but was going for the authentic literary recreation.

it had 5 miles on it and it had 50 on it when i gave to him

the laugh is it said in the notes small handover :D

im talking to him and he said hed never driven an auto before (>!>!>!?????!!!!!)

thats fair enuff so i go round his roads showing the gearshift (fuck you tesla)

its DNR - wtf is up with that not RND like it should be and has been for an awful long time

so tell him about reverse camera and how itll creep in gear if you ease pressure on the brake

so he gets a go and up a bit to dead end so he can turn round and he stops - only doing 5 mph and we both nearly go thru the windscreen :D

I'm going to take the tape off the Kangoo dash lights and see how long it takes for my phone to melt

I’m ok that way round, my mistake tends to be stalling manuals coasting to a stop because I’ve forgotten to put the clutch in.

Well I’ve only driven three automatics. A CX prestige , my w124 coupe and a couple of xm. All of which could be like piloting a sofa at speed. Especially the cx.

I have been guilty of that in a C6 and a Volvo.
