Further to this, I've now been discharged from the therapy team because my symptoms don't align with anything they can help with.  They couldn't give me a diagnosis but suggested while it could be Complicated Stress, it's more likely that it's something physical.  Back to the GP to investigate that, and the therapy team are happy to back me up and send their assessment to the GP to help progress things.

Not entirely sure how I feel about it.  On the one hand it's good to know that this feeling different to my usual health problems is confirmed, and on the other it means I have literally no idea what's wrong now.  All I know is something has broken and we need to figure out what so it can be fixed.  Even though I spent almost all of yesterday asleep, today has been much better, felt much clearer of mind and even did some chores without getting exhausted.  However, I still got hand tremors while on the phone, a bit of dizziness, and my speech still isn't spot on so there's a way to go yet.  I'm also still unable to do digital artwork, or really much of anything digital work related so something is still amiss.

It'll probably sort itself out before I get an answer and then because the symptoms aren't there I won't be able to get an answer until I'm ill again, because that's what Sod's Law dictates.  All I really care about is getting back to my version of normal.

Forgive me if I am behind on this, but a blood test should be done, just the standard thing, reds and whites. results can show a lot and its cheap.

Problem we had, when Mrs cn got it after working 100 HR weeks, was several GP's flatly refused to admit it exists.

2 years later, after spending most of it in bed, she got to a coping state, but she now had a raft of other problems, and it still rears it's head occasionally.

Sorry probably not what you want to hear 🥺

There Nice Guidelines for health workers to refer to about diagnostics and treatment. I'd suggest in hindsight that if you take an advocate with you who is prepared to challenge (threaten?) the GP, they might start to see reason.

Not all GPs are the same.  I'd rather see one that qualified in the last 5 years and is up to date, than one that should have admitted defeat 5 years ago, when the last time they did any additional training or reading was 25 years ago.

G.C.C.C.

Me and wifey were visiting Elen Valley last weekend, and happened upon a big car club meet. I was instantly drawn to a spectacular Citroen DS 21, and while looking at it and other classics  I decided that this could be just what I needed after a recent diagnosis of a long term illness.

A plan formulated in my mind involving buying a volvo 544 I had been obsessing over online , a lot of tinkering and some fun trips away in great company. There was a group of chaps chatting and laughing nearby, and I was struck at how happy they all seemed to be.

There was no spinning of wheels or reckless driving, just calm quiet and polite drivers, enjoying their interesting vehicles.  Seeing no sign of what the club was, I approached a very nice chap and asked what the contact details were. Well, now I know that the Gay Classic Car Club is a thing, and very popular it is too, judging by the turnout.

Wifey and I found ourselves in a long line of carefully driven classics touring Elan. A Beautiful Bentley drop top that looked  like a long wheel base in front of us,  and a lovely MG  behind. I have seldom been happier recently.

It is such a shame I would need a major lifestyle change to join.   A very happy day though.

Correction. Wifey has just told me that their  site indicates I would not need a lifestyle change to join. .........

i think you will find Annie the Alpine & Judith the Jag are members of here & that club

Did some plumbing today, proper plumbing for the first time in my life

down at my aunt and uncles house, leaky tank

i only went and replaced it, had to buy lots of extra fittings and even worked out how to solder pipes

IMG_4890.png.46b50187bc74f194e39eb60d2010572b.png

tested and working well!

it doesn’t leak either, it was a bastard of a job but surprisingly cheap

the worst part was removing a galvanised steel tank full of rust and horrible water

i might see about making a career or something in this as I enjoyed it

I always thought the Ace was an underpowered car with a decent chassis but only had “competition pace” when Shelby put a 7 litre V8 in it.  Or am I just believing American hype?

This made me laugh. I've booked a night in Birmingham city centre.  I was getting different prices quoted than my wife. Mine were 40% cheaper, and the difference for me between duluxe room and super duluxe was £3. The super was described as recently refurbished so paid the extra.

Now they've sent an email with some potential.upgades. or in this case I can downgrade for £35 extra.

Oh how I laughed.

Obviously the upgrade to Junior suite would be a bargain, but I don't think we will.

After months of being on a waiting list I had a call earlier and have registered with an NHS dentist!

Oh, and my car passed its MOT earlier too.

That's quite an achievement.  NHS dentists make rocking horse poo look common.  I'm with an NHS dentist but I've been with them for about 15 years - they haven't taken on any new NHS patients for a long time now.

Indeed… I’m wondering if I should be worried 😂

Nah, they'll be fresh out of college with all the latest info and ready for the ususpecting public! Oh hang on...

Actually, the surgery will probably be staffed by foreign dentists, hopefully you'll get a good'un. At our surgery it's rare to see the dentist more than once, unless you return within 12 months.
