Bub - is that breaker picasso a 90hp 2.0 ? They only break rockers when the belt goes . Not a massive job to fix

Yes,2.0 hdi. I was originally told it was head gasket but speaking to owner he said it starts and runs but when throttle pressed it pops through airbox which sounds timing related. It's been parked on grass for a year though. It's a long time to be stationary.

Council road sweeper goes past, one of the big ones. Comes back down and stops, the driver gets out and starts talking to Old Man who's under the 850.

Turns out he has a manual saloon 850 and lives in the house behind my old one.

Isn’t that a Daihatsu f50?

Was between Patrol, F50 or early Trooper, not too sure ?

Aberdeen. Well, in the area so Inverurie, Banchory or Stonehaven probably. Quite happy with that, lived in Aberdeen 2001-2004 so we know what it's like and have a few friends and acquaintances in the area still.

Offer of help also available here. Me and tayne seem to operate as a double act at times...

Bought a VERY loud megaphone off someone I purchased an old bike off before. Tomorrow at work is going to be immense.

Had to rub my eyes and look again when I saw a red reliant 3 wheeler heading to the local tip, roof rack on with at least 3 big matresses and towing a trailer stacked higher than the car itself, was an unfucking believable sight but couldn't get a pic

I posted a while ago about an old blue colt hatch at a scrapyard near me with the intention of someone spotting it to save the parts, was glad to see it had been intensively stripped when I went at the weekend, any ideas who got them ?

Started with a shovel tonight and began reclaiming driveway from the grass.

Still needs cleaning but now it drains much better. Bloody St. Augustine grass.

Looks tidier too. Also took a section of turf and put it where the new mail lady likes to stamp on her brakes to put the mail in my neighbor's mailbox (which is, for some inexplicable reason, in my yard).

Slowly tidying up.

Should have used engine oil or banana skins.

Then she'd end up totally in my yard.

She drives a beaten up old mid 90's Jeep Cherokee, which isn't in the best mechanical shape.

Got into work and found this on the desk.

Made jokes about whether it's porn or teaching the other lad to read before turning it over and finding my name on the other side and panicking a bit.

A look inside cheered me up though

Thanks Tom.

I've not seen him for a bit but did notice his influence on the carpark in the next town along.

Got home to find a BFO parcel waiting for me.

Ordered 2 used wings off of eBay for the new beetle, arrived today via Drop, Hide or lose (DHL) got a message saying delivery would be between 12 and 1 put a note on their tracking site saying leave down side of house.

Left where I instructed and well packaged.

2 wings in black to replace the cracked and shitty paint on both.

£55 delivered makes them a bit of a bargain, some people seem to think these plastic wings are actually made of gold and price accordingly.

Looks like I have a job for the weekend now.
