junkyarddog Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Like Slot Mags and jacked up rear ends? Step this was then,to a small car show from 1987! Wonder if any of those cars still exist? MrBiscuits, garethj, morrisoxide and 1 other 4

I cannot wait for Part 2 Makes a modern day road trip boring and easy. I really enjoyed all three parts of this. Really inspiring story told by an unexpectedly engaging old boy. It’s YouTube at its best, without all the shouting and the ‘everything wrong with my (insert inane nonsense here)! Sad that he left the topolino behind at the end though, he must have formed quite a bond with that car by the time he and Rosalind reached the end of the journey! Gompo and Remspoor 1 1
sheffcortinacentre Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Remember a few, the flamed model A, chopped & flip fronted escort EST, Valhalla, & I think the Corsair was a factory turbo if it's the one I'm thinking of.

However, as he said in the last video of the journey to Turkey, the adventures continued. Now the latest video has been added to YT. I have not watched it yet.
Marina door handles Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 I'm enjoying Tasty Classics at the mo, having only just discovered the channel - the Dyna Z saga is very good viewing... Also I know as a Patroen of the channel I am a bit biased but I think the Tools N Track Locust build is a great series and at 80 episodes long so far, there is plenty to watch!

I can't work out if I am watching a genuine documentary or something along the lines of Alan Partridge! I suppose at least back then middle management types actually went for something a bit different sometimes rather than all driving identical Audis, but whining like a spoilt kid because your car doesn't have a small single-letter badge where everyone might see it? Give me strength! (edit) Merc guy: "People now really KNOW that I'm a manager, that I'm a senior person in the company!" Yes, but they also all think you're an absolute fucking throbber. LOADS of spot-worthy stuff in the background too. warren t claim 1

There was a company car episode, one about younger drivers, one about families, one about women etc. Oh I'm definitely looking for the others in that case if the dickheads in this one are anything to go by, this is too funny!

quicksilver Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 The algorithm found me a little gem yesterday: user DaveSpencer32. You might have heard of him as PMP Transport Films; he's been filming mostly buses and trucks all over the world for years and has uploaded some of his archive footage from the 1990s. At the time these were just ordinary everyday street scenes and people probably thought he was mad for wasting tape on such mundane things, but every vehicle you see is interesting now.

I can't thank @Remspoor enough for posting this link. It's absolutely fabulous. Imagine Howard's Way crashed into Longbridge, this is the net result. Produced by Central TV! I wish all the subsequent episodes were available. It's everything I want in tv: 80s, cars, bad script, industrial unrest, drawing boards. My favourite characters are the blaxpoitation (Northern stereotype) couple from Leeds. Remspoor, St.Jude and Banger Kenny 1 2
