The Acclaim froze it's doors closed the other week, thankfully I'd left it unlocked on my girlfriend's parent's driveway but I couldn't pull the door open... Eventually managed to pry it open by getting my fingers behind the window frame as I didn't want to risk snapping the handle...

The inside of the screen was also iced. Joyous times.

I thought the law/regulations on driving insist on re-tests and eyesight checks periodically over retirement age. When was he last re-tested for any of that, or behind the wheel? He isn't immune is it?

It's like self assessment. You declare you are fit to drive.

The queen doesn't have a licence ref guardian

In my humble opinion if the law doesn't change insurers should change.

They should insist that everyone over 80 attends an assessment day if they want insurance for less than £10k a year.

Full medical and then a driving "test"

And then follow this up every 3 years until 90, and then every year.

Great chat with Byrons teacher yesterday evening - after intial phonecall as he'd twatted a kid in the nose…….. (bugger - thinks I)

turns out the class bully and resident claimed ADHD loon was pushing his weight (considerable considering only 8yrs old)  around again. trouble constantly and on multiple warnings from both school, teacher and other parents complaints.

first altercation yesterday morning - munchkn restrained him and got the teachers attention. Nuff said……..

the little fat shit (sorry - but he is a fucking liability) then waited for lunchtime and went for Byron with a bloody plank! Byron managed to trip him over after a chase - and then twatted him as he tried to get up again. Luckily loads of witnesses…… but the shits parents then threatened Byron with arrest! He of course panicked…….. what kind of adult threatens a fucking 8yr old with arrest! I lost it!

Teacher was great - calmed him down and we had a long chat - I told the teacher I'll never condemn my son for standing up for himself and she was cool with it. supported Byron and she was truly fantastic - but can't be seen to take sides...…..

father of said loon was spoken* to this morning and my stance was clarified in no uncertain terms. I don't see this going well :-(

Only updated now as it's taken a while to calm down about it...……..

We got a call to say the eldest had broken a lad's nose at school. Turned around in class and backhanded him in the face.

Turns out he'd been mentally bullying her all year, and she snapped. He'd seen some marks on her wrist and gone for the "emo kid trying to let the fat out by slashing her wrists" angle.

She got put on report. We demanded the school put him on report too, but arguably the bigger punishment was he's known to this day for having his nose broken by a 5'2" girl.

Bloody hell. Sounds like your lad needs congratulating rather than dragging over hot coals.

Having had more than my fair share of experience with school bullies, there are one or two I really wish I'd punched right in the face during the early stages of their campaign. Of course, I didn't. And its easier said than done. But I do wonder if I'd have saved myself some of the misery that their "attention" brought me.

I wish I'd had parents who didnt think it a great idea to teach their children to turn the other cheek. Cause that's going to stop any bullying.

I may have taught our kid the Opposite.

Always be known as the little kid who hurts you if you try to mess with him.

He's a teacher now and hates it cause he can't murder the kids. Apparently you aren't even allowed to be moderately sarcastic to them or cutting or insult them in clever ways.

Have you read the replies underneath? god almighty what a bunch of knobbers.

I've only read the first few, but the idea the cameras should work for MLMs is a good one. It'd do more for safety by reducing frustration from other drivers.

Cameras for no lights in the rain would be good too.

I don't agree with the eating/drinking thing. It's no more distracting than adjusting the radio.

I'm sure the policeman I saw driving away from Greggs this morning while stuffing his breakfast roll down would agree, however, I once saw someone driving on the M4 while they were eating cereal, with a spoon, from a bowl, probably not as safe.

Mot obtained on my Roffle winning 406 Coupé last week. Up on the ramp its oily incontinence was far too easy to spot...in fact it looked like it's been pissing out at a rate for a number of years.attachicon.gifDSC_1940.JPG

Definitely thought it was time it was sorted out. Today sump whipped off, cleaned up and followed by a good dollop of Loctite sealant. attachicon.gifDSC_1945.JPG

After a fresh oil and filter change it was time for a celebratory and leak free drive down to Tesco! attachicon.gif_20190115_201229.JPG

Next on the list .. fitting the stainless exhaust system...

Such a pretty car, remember these being run around oulton during the ford cougars launch. They handled so much better it was embarrassing.

I fucking knew it..... The little coward scratched munchkin while in line to go into class this morning..... School didn't bloody call me. Headmistress has been informed I'll be in to speak with her and the little bastards parents Monday first thing. Sneaky little fucker....

Of course Byron got grief for snapping and belting living hell out of the shit.....

Does the old Duke have any chod squirrelled away on one of the estates? He has always been a keen car enthusiast. Used to drive a black cab around London incognito I believe. Let’s hope he makes a speedy recovery.

 The little coward scratched munchkin

Scratched him?  FFS, that is pathetic.  I knew some snivelling cowardly little bullying shits when I was 8, but none of them would have stooped as low as to scratch another kid.

I hope Byron did some damage back...

My son is 6, and there are two lads in his class that don't yet know how to control their fists. Often they punch other boys or girls.

My son has been one the end of it more than once, but a year ago we both started karate. To his credit he hasn't him either of them back, nor has he even blocked (a karate block is designed to injure). I have told him just to hit him back if he does it again - he won't hit him again after that.

Would it be wrong to say "MEH" ? I hope Bubs wife makes a speedy recovery.

Spotted at an American hot rod show today here in NZ. The chap standing nearby (the owner?) was clearly taken aback that someone would photograph it!post-17378-0-48691600-1547886804_thumb.jpg

Tonto is the normal response.

Andrew is only 15 months but he absolutely has my temperament, he'll take so much at playgroup then normally charges at full pelt and takes the legs away from any fucker who gets in his way.

They just don't look right with federalised bumpers... otherwise: HAWT.

I might take the Stellar to work today actually, it's not been out for a while.
