See your Dr tomorrow? Better than trying once the holidays start. Sorry to hear.

Spent the day in Oregon & Washington States...THE AMOUNT OF AUTOSHITE WORTHY CARS HERE IS AMAZING!  :-D

Lots of 70's -90's trucks & jeeps about and plenty of 80's - 90's cars still in general use. A highlight was also a  Toyota Solara convertible, with the right rear 3/4 smashed in & badly rusted..and still being driven!

Think it help's in in rural parts of the state though, where every second house has a old car in the front yard.

Sad to hear PVD wishing you a speedy recovery, i nearly replied with "oh dear" but I thought it a little insensitive

Oh, and I might shortly be becoming the proud* owner of a three-headed monster, although probably not until after Christmas.

An Alfa 33 Diesel? post-17481-0-08212700-1482323106_thumb.png

(The VM engined Hyundais only have one head, which is dissapointing)

My new lockup apparently comes with a complimentary can of pez and some deicing salt.

My liberated from the skip pile at work shelving fits nicely too. Though I seem to have lost a set of the little nubbins for one of the shelves.

For the first time in my life I've had a Christmas card from my local mechanic, with a £30 off voucher. Top customer retention strategy!

(But I dread to add up how much I've spent with him this year).

So that's what a VM diesel looks like - for some reason 'three headed' made me think they were a W6.

Had my first bike accident on way home from work today, hit a dead deer carcass at 45mph.In a lot of pain, bit through my bottom lip, jaw, teeth, hand and elbow painful, knees painful and swollen.I don't even want to look at the MZ :-( Thanks to the man in the van who stopped to help and bundled me and bike in the back and took me home

Problem is I need to find another set of cheap wheels for aftrer Xmas!

Glad you came out of it in one piece. Many don't. Enjoy Christmas. Plenty of cheap wheels in new year as people are on the bones of their arses.

Roads are bloody solid to fall on aren't they?

Hope it feels better today (it won't I know from experience).

Last week I despatched the a3 via webuyanycar leaving me with only the mx5 to commute in. I managed to cope with this for precisely one day before the lowered suspension, bucket seats and edinburghs knackered roads proved to be too much :(

So a quick look on gummers produced this little beauty*

the mot history looked ok, the seller seemed normal so I jumped on the train and headed north to Pitlochry, a very nice little town in Perthshire where Queen Victoria used to spend her holibobs.

Is this a sign from the gods of shite ?

hmm, mebbes not

haggling occurred, a small amount of money changed hands and I set off home, return ticket not needed.

the mot in October mentions an abs trigger wheel being rusty so hopefully a quick fix once I get time. The mother in law light seems to be related to a throttle position sensor, with a bit of luck that will be a quick trip to the scrappies and happy days ahead.

It seems to drive ok with the faults, I've put 300 miles on already and it's not a bad old bus, maybe I should do a bit of illegal minicabbing the next week or two ?

Feeling a lot worse today, feels like ive been in the ring.Bike however i think will live again, and for not too much expense.damage seems to be limited to bent footrest bar, snapped indicator, smashed headlamp and a few other bits and bobs, plus the destroyed fairing, but i think the fairing saved the bike (and me)

After a promising start on quick trip around the block, the 1200 reverted to its poor running issue. Sorting that will have to be on my resolution list for 2017, along with the getting the Camry estate back on the road (after 3 years).

Anyway, it got me far enough to take a quick shot where its gold/ochre/orange/mustard/whatever paintwork nicely co-ordinated with the late autumn colours and sunlight.

I think I'm going to give up on selling the '88 Sunny for now. Until the Camry is on the road again it's too useful as a second car (has been doing daily driver duties quite a bit recently).

Shame about the running issues, but that's a stunning photo.

My long awaited and eagerly sought Mulliner Wing vents kit has arrived.

Two points:

One, no way are they worth the money charged, and

Two, they are both for the left hand side of the car.

This came up on my LinkedIn feed earlier, seems like an interesting gizmo though I assume you have to be bloody sure you don't point it at your skin or clothes or eyes or anything!

That looks fun/handy/dangerous/scary, all in equal measures!

'Look love, I cleaned your car...'

And now they have asked for pictures of said items side by side because they realise that anyone that is thick enough/stupid enough/idiotic enough to spend that sort of money on that sort of product is too stupid to work out if he has one side or two.

That shot of the 1200 looks like it could have been taken in Australia.
