Well seems the primera has repayed its new battery and mot by killing its head gasket. Lots of white smoke and bubbling in the radiator.. bought some k seal and threw it in. Let it run for an hour and no improvement. It started off ok hoses got warm , heater got warm then after45 mins heater cold. Let it cool down and it needed about 3/4 litre of water back in the radiator. So I appear to have a large paperweight.

Time to remove some cars from my life. First to go is the ex- Junkman p38.

What's the protocol for moving it onwards?

Just missed with Dave numbers, pm have been sent too and forth.

Tbh it came in a raffle, it should leave in a raffle. I hate selling cars...which is kinda the problem that got me into the situation I'm in now.

Met a man today who would be a perfect after dinner speaker , for when we have the first Autoshite Black Tie Dinner.

He's a UK based electronic engineer working for a Japanese company, he was telling me how he's just finished soldering the valve plate thing out of his Merc B Class auto box. He's flying out tonight to China where he's helping an electric motorbike company with some power supply issues. Apparentlly they're close to putting two million of these things in Paris ,Frankfurt and other cities as Boris bike type rentals.

Did I mention he was Romanian ? Or did his apprenticeship at the Citroen factory ? Yes , he made Olcit things, including, according to him some CXes, which I never knew were made there. He left in 89 before Daewoo took over.

He's very much a mad Proffessor type and his English , whilst eleventy million per cent better than my Romanian, is a little broken so the the CX and indeed the LNA parts of the conversation , I might have misunderstood.

I'll interrogate him more closely when I pick him up , on his return in three weeks.

Sounds like a man to listen to. Renting electromotorbikes sounds like the future. Pls brind some over here pls.

FFS. Traffic in front stopped. I stopped so I didn't block a yellow hatch box. Car behind didn't stop.

I guess I can't say too much more until insurance has sorted it all.

Neck hurts already. :(

Mrs SiC went off in the back of an ambulance as a precaution. Now discharged.

Suspect it's going to be tomorrow when it really kicks in. I really, really don't want it too. Especially as I wanted to start cycling into work again next week. :/

If it does get written off, I'll try and buy it back. After owning it for over 6 years, I've got rather attached to it. Hopefully the crash beam has taken the full force. Won't look a lot I guess as the bumper is plastic and flexible, so hide any damage underneath.

Another 160 miles to go at 52mph and I'll finally be home.

Elena Ceausescu is thought to have run a CX in her fleet.

Probably most famous Soviet bloc chief to have CXs was Honecker, because East German.

The RCZ is taking a trip to Mr Peugeot in Scunthorpe. It's decided making a clattery noise at first start up is acceptable. Well it isn't.

I'm thinking tensioner.

No doubt the noise won't be enough and despite the warranty I'll have to pay for a diagnostic session.

Coupe MY ARSE. It's a three-door estate, and therefore should have Merit badges.

I give it a manner of weeks before some arsehole is selling an original Range Rover as a coupe.

I was put in a very difficult situation this afternoon. I went all the way to some bloke in Surrey to purchase a steering wheel and windscreen for my Bedford van. Unfortunately neither fitted. In the gloom at the back of the gentleman's motor-house I noticed a dusty Pug 205 and so was left with no other option than to purchase it, otherwise the journey would have been in vain.

It's been sat for 7 years, I prefer longer, but sometimes you have to accept the hand life deals you.

Topped up the CX fuel tank to the top. Strong smell of super unleaded. Think auto 'box is due a fluid and filter change. Will ask Brodie's to sort that out.....

Is that a Roland Garros edition? Because Poojos and clay-court tennis, that whole connection there....

Cor! That looks a bit posh.

Crikey ! A Magnum. Had one in the 80's. Bought it cheap off a coke dealer who needed to get rid.

Took the hit of being stopped a lot for the first fortnight.

Went bloody well with the 2.3.

He really loved it and was gutted when some yuppie prick in a 911 wrote it off. He looked for a Firenza after that, but never found a decent affordable one.

Looks like a 205 Gentry. Basically a GTi but with a de-tuned 1.9 engine, automatic gearbox and plush interior.

The Roland Garros ones were a lighter shade of green, 1.4 engine and had white half leather seats inside.

Yes, I don't know if that's real tree wood. This is my first car with fuel injection and a catalyst. The presence of the latter item on the back seat tells me I'm shortly to become better acquainted with these mysterious devices...

It's not working so further exploration will have to wait until I can get it home.

To be honest I didn't even want something called a Gentry- aren't they some kit car thing?

Plywood mg replica with a triumph herald underneath iirc...

Loved mine as well. On an S plate, if I remember, which would have been a 78.

Sadly I don't remember what happened to it. Like a lot of vehicles I've had.

Well, you can't remember them all, can you ?

Edit; Paid £150 for it.
