Dollywobbler's Omegawd - Cruisin' (old people can do it too)

Hopefully a bit of common sense will apply (as they know you have been trying to fix it, but have been having issues with the seal)

Here's to 12 months MOT, then a slow drive home. Changing your nappy every few miles :)

I did deploy my pants earlier. They're a bit too worn for reuse anyway. I thought I'd better remove them for the retest...

I guess it depends whether the fail is the diesel was leaking, or the diesel is ending up on the road.

If the latter, a nappy should sort it.

Nappies are a really good shout!!

Stick a rag under it and just drive it.

Stupid question, but with the nappies and velcro.

Could you not create a nappy coccon round the pump to absorb the leaks,  but I believe they cant move anything so will have the added bonus of hiding the leak.

Would not normally suggest such a "fix", but know you'll get it fixed properly when you get the chance and the correct seal.

That MOT site is quick, just checked when I posted at 11:21 and was still showing as a fail.

4 mins later its updated as a pass.

Utter respect for your and the Omega, have a nice relaxing drive home in leather luxury.

Hopefully more pics to follow of it in all its glory.

Well done DW! Much respect!

Have a safe and comfortable waft home. It looks a great car and with some fettling should last a while yet too. Well worth the effort IMHO.

Indeed. I feel somewhat ashamed of myself for being a pussy and having the Volvo recovered home. Must do better I think!

You say bodge, we all know in 6 months time when this turns into a for sale thread there'll be a note about "small leak from fuel pump, keep a rag under it".

What you mean is you've done a permanent fix.
