Super Cheap Chod

I'm after something along the following lines:

£100 budget

6 months test

45mpg minimum

Preferably in the south west.

I realise this is like asking for the AS holy grail, but I'm just after something that will cart me around as cheaply as possible for a few months. I have a bit of mileage to cover and I need to make it as cheap as possible.

The car will be auctioned here after I have finished with it.

So, what's out there?

My Rover 214SEi will be available as soon as the headgasket's done and I'm in North Devon for around £350...£200 would take it in its current state but you'll need a way to get it home.  It runs but you won't get far.

Yep, that's roughly what I'm asking for. There's a couple of items in my eBay watch list that may just come in around the budget though.

To be entirely fair, the Fezza that Cavcraft has just sold would have been ideal. Slightly over on budget, slightly under on MoT, but I'd have still bought it.

.

Someone's just holding that up, that's rubbish.

Here's a proper one:

Plenty cheep cars around at the moment as scrap is on its arse, my last half dozen cars have been free and two still had mot.

Yeh 100 quid is doable . I'd go for a fester or ka with no chance of getting another test with that budget . Pretty tough mechanically

If you still need something post November 20th(ish) you can have a Citroen ZX 1.9D with 111k on it (MOT expires 23rd Feb) for £100.

It has a few noises but nothing stops it absolutely bossing it on the motorway at 70mph constant....

*This also rests on my new car being actually working, which I have been told it does.

I've got another car coming in a few weeks (the car I always promised myself) so yeah my ZX daily will probs be available shortly after. It's a NA XUD, but pretty pokey for one, I felt.

If this doesn't fit 83Cs you are more than welcome to first refusal.

bramz7, that would be ideal. If I've not found anything by then, I'll take it.

Cheers!

83C, have you noticed Billy's thread about the Punto?
