Scribbled it on my hand and can't remember what it was on.   DVLA says a silver Mercedes but I think it was a small black somethingorother.

Coming back from Bedford on Sunday, a lovely Mk2 Zephyr pulled out of a layby just behind us with the memorable reg POO 53.

Found elsewhere on the interwebz, but had to share. I'm more intrigued by the half-acre sized rear plate. It's like an 'Over 75 plate on roids!

Plates like that annoy me more than they should. I read it as "W Fourteen-ary". Is that supposed to mean something to me? The illegal mis-spacing irritates as well. It would be fine if displayed correctly as W14 ARY...I'd just assume his/her initials are ARY which is fair enough (I own a couple of similar plates myself). I feel annoyed when I find myself following a plate like that (usually on some Range Rover type thing) trying to fathom what the hell they're trying to spell.

I do, every time I see it! I bet many don't make the connection though. (On the road, I mean - I know you lot will mostly twig :)
