Seen but not snapped

I was following a breakdown truck, noticed the number was TR54 TOW, then realised it belonged to Tonbridge Recovery Services and that TRS for TOW was very cool.

AW 1 on a Daimler Regency in the stables at Sunnycroft, (National Trust, Shropshire) Would this be the first ever Shropshire registation number? .Co-incidentally, to-day and locally 4 AW on a Shogun or similar, but not so historic.

Well AW does cover 1903 to 1921 in Salop so it could be...

I'm guessing this Previa belongs to "Moosey"; also, quite liking the inadvertant inappropriate apostrophe's.

Or is it "Moose Eyes"? If so, I don't get it.

Got a new plate for my 1976 Stag:

Oh no. Really?

I've just had a frankly pisstaking offer accepted on a personal plate. I'll not hex it before the paperwork's completed but I've been after a plate with GRA (I'm a Graham, usually shortened to Gra) for a wee while.

RX04 TON on a Rexton

The next day I saw two orthodox Jews getting into a different Rexton, which seemed rather unorthodox...

M1XDJ on a Jag XK8, didn’t see any decks or record boxes in the back.

H4UMR on a Hunmer H2.

And the deal went through without a hiccup and money has changed hands. I now own

V666 GRA

Just waiting on a new V5 and I'll be good to go.

/\ /\ Not tempted with V14 GRA then?

Not for £14,000 I wasn't...it seemed a bit of a stiff price to pay

That's a diplomatic plate, a mate whose father was with the French embassy used to have one of those.

I love G Wagons, there’s no middle ground, you’re either a drug dealer/pimp/people trafficker or a farmer.

Yep, specifically a Spanish diplomat in this case.

What's the "tell" - First 3 digits??

H4UMR on a Hunmer H2.

Drove past the Hummer the other day and noticed it was covered in moss.

A quick mot check shows it’s been off the road for nearly 3 years and what I think is misrecorded mileage.

Not a diplomat, the letter would be D and/or the plate would have a lower second number (700+ is for consular, other accredited non diplomatic staff etc).
