Used to be  a fairly frequent flyer in these parts then lots happened on the work front, then got made redundant and found myself out of work for a month during which time I bought this.....hope to make a start on its rebuild over the winter.

The Gen 3 Civic we bought in 2012 turned out to be mainly made out of tack welded and sikaflexed panels underneath but after a lot of graft it has a whole new image.....might not be to everyone's taste but at least its got a second chance at survival now.CIVIC%20MID%20REBUILD_zpsaqsda6gn.jpg

If anyone doesn't like the Civic, they're welcome to step outside and punch themselves square in the knackers. As for the Datsun, it's just pure and utter porn.

When I was a kid, the local car shop used to sell off old obscure unsellable colour spray paints cheap.

To that end I had a Raleigh Grifter re sprayed the same colour as your Datsun.

80s tastic!

Dat 120Y is a peach, the chrome looks unusually good, you must have paid 4 figures for it?

A Mk1 Micra really is a well proportioned, nice little motor by today's standards.

My dad inherited his late fathers 120y in the 1970s. I hated it as a four year old - as it was dark blue with black vinyl seats. My legs ( in shorts) stuck to the seats in the summer!

I passed my test in 1977 in a P reg Sunny that colour.   Takes me right back!   I don't think I ever came across a sweeter clutch action since....

One of my exs first cars was a 120Y in that blue. I have never known a car that could understeer so much yet be so amusing at the same time. I loved it - she hated it! Sold when the clutch started to slip after my 'enthusiastic' driving style :)
