If you can poke the straw of your WD40 into somewhere near the little bearings at each end of your blower motor, just the tiniest squirt in the right places will make it very happy indeed. It'll last years longer if you're lucky.

I actually took one end of the motor off, cleaned out all the carbon dust and greased that end bearing. Couldn't easily get at the other end, but aimed some grease towards it. Now the heater stinks of grease...

Nice car. Always remember the 618 my mate used to borrow off his Mum in 6th form. Surprisingly rapid for a big car with a 1.8 engine and auto box, or so it felt at the time. Another mates Dad had a 623gsi. Now that was a beauty.

Has DrRach stopped laughing yet?

;)

That was an entirely different car to be fair. She really likes the Rover.

I used to have a 623SLi with a manual gearbox, such a smooth engine you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a straight six.

True - but it was a shame to let the opportunity pass!

Nice job on this DW. I used to work on these back in the days they were everywhere, they seemed good cars in hindsight. I'd actually almost forgotten about them!

A mate I used to work with bought a diesel one in dark grey metallic. It was a lovely car and he did loads of miles in it. Never seemed to cause any trouble either, it just kept on going.

I'd happily have one now, they seem worthless and it's a lot of car for very little money.

Well bought Ian, this looks great for the money.

I've had 2 600's, both 2.0 petrol and loved them both. I've also had 2 400 Diesels which I always loved, but never managed a diesel 600. I would think this would make for very competent transport for what you need it for next week.

I've mentioned before the 620ti I ran for about 3 weeks.

It was £100 with 3 months mot and I nearly crashed it the second day I had it. It was raining and the thing was all over the place, almost undriveable. I had to creep home at less than 40.

Next day a check of the front tyre pressures showed one at about 12 psi and the other at 53.

Was fun while it lasted but I suspect the HGF was well under way before i bought it.

Sold for £45 to a complete dreamer who was going to "fix it and track day it".

I bet it became Chinese saucepans within a month.

I'm an idiot. First time I've actually checked ALL of the tyres. I got a very nasty surprise.

That's just shocking, and proof that I really should have checked this BEFORE driving over 250 miles in the car.

/\ There is still more tread on those as the 62 plate Volvo I saw In Edinburgh on Friday, all four where as bald as me.

It's terrifying given how quickly I've been driving this car. Allegedly...

One of those cars I don't understand why haven't owned. So much car for the money, and that looks like a good one.

Wow. Has it done a lot of miles since the last MOT? No tyre advisories.....

Almost 20,000 miles.

I've just been looking for these, no idea why as I'm out of space, but look at this one!

Really nice spec, proper gearbox and the biggest engine. All for less than £500!

What's the leg room like in the back? Looks fairly tight.

I actually quite LIKE buying tyres.  I'm not sure why because they're both boring and expensive, but it's quite satisfying putting a matching set on a car.

Not overly generous, but I can sit behind the seat set for me without my knees rubbing the back of the seat.

Whenever I ask myself this question, the words fuck and 'em immediately spring to mind. Nice car Dolly, well done.

No. They've killed him and disposed of the body.

Now they're taking turns wearing his bobble hat and laughing hysterically as they piss in his thermos whilst posting pics on his twitter feed. Bastards.

Fucking LOL!!

Oh, and nice motor Dolly. They're getting quite scarce now these, especially ones that're in half decent nick as this one seems to be.

This place is a bad influence.  A really bad influence.
