Should be a rubber bumpered car with the 1500 Triumph engine rather than the A series.

Easy to restore. All parts available.

I was going to say, there's no way you'll fit in that, Billy, but then I thought, does Mrs Cav know how to work a chainsaw?

Engine rape for a mini?

Even if it was the A series, there are supposedly too many/too major differences between the blocks to make it worthwhile putting an inline engine in a transverse car, or vice-versa.  But at that age it should be the Triumph engine anyway.

Shall we run a book on how many pages the Mot fail sheet runs to?

Looking in my crystal ball ... I do not see an MOT in it's future with Cavcraft enterprises, I see a quick* turnaround for profit to someone looking for a project/donor.

It's the crank and flywheel that's dramatically different ;-)

That's truly awful, well done!

Don't open both doors at once.

And don't put the roof down, it looks structural!

A bit more gen: this is a local(ish) car that's a bit of a landmark, really. It turned up on social media for sale, every man and his dog chipped in with offers bordering from stupid (high) to stupid (low) plus the fairly recent trend of 'spoilers' chipping in.

These (spoilers) are people who clearly haven't got the money to buy stuff, so try and chip in on sales threads saying things like 'it's worth X amount' (usually fifty times more than it is) and 'don't let it go cheap' and 'the number plate is worth 'eleventy cajillion quid'

A neighbour (partly pictured) came over and was a great laugh but he wasn't helping with comments about the value, so it was one of those where you have to sort of (price) battle more than one person. Anyhow the owner was a great bloke, his missus was brilliant and the neighbour was a right good laugh, so it was a pretty decent buying experience, so to speak. I'm not actually collecting it for a week or so, that'll be where the real entertainment starts. I'm thinking a low loader tilting trailer will be best as a winch will possibly see it off.

How can it be even worse in the flesh?

Edit: Looks like we now know how it is going to be moved.

As it appears on the spotting thread. Anything I have to say your photos are nowhere near as good as the one I took...

The number plate explains that it's a genuine one from 'Lonsdale Cars'. Must be a sign. Apparently the dealer isn't still going though, which is ironic.

Fuggin ell Billy, that's even shitter than the Ford Teapot you recently bought! You could use it as a kennel for the little beigeywhite dog

Is this going to be a run-up to buying an engineless Dolly, or Spitfire 1500 or something?

FUCKING LOL.

That is all.

What he said.

I'm browsing the forum on a 42" TV and when I scrolled down to the pictures I did a proper belly laugh for a good minute.
