Can I just say I am definitely looking forward to seeing the Ami in the flesh.

I will keep it out then and put the BX away as I need a runner to storage tomorrow.

I've still got the dc25 from rich, mighty tempted to modify it to be a bit more compact and stick it in the car for mouse nest removal, it did a bloody good job and ran off the generator really well which is a bonus

What with those Werehares up there!

Folklore says, a Werehair, is a human with the ability to shapeshift into a hare, either purposely or after being placed under a curse or affliction with the transformations occurring on the night of a full moon.

Oh****, its full moon Saturday night!

I could divert if I did come up, but getting 4 wheels and tyres in the boot of an MX5 could be interesting unless they're Lego...

Nonsense, your car is a capable van.

I had a floor standing , full height pillar drill in my Mx , luckily it was a sunny day so I did have the roof down ... I was told it was a bench drill ...download.jpeg.515921c55db691085e5d85884eb8522a.jpeg

Good Bye CLK

You picked a fine time to leave me, 320
With summer around the corner and a show in the field
I've had some bad times, lived through some sad times
But this time your hurting won't heal

Mmmmmaybe, because I'm starting to get old and I'd rather not do 300 miles in a day as it's exhausting, especially in a car that prefers 50 to 70. Depends what I'm up to on the weekend.

Do you have a to-do list for this weekend? I still haven't worked out if I've got time to come up but I suppose it's worth asking anyway.

16 April 2022 FoD

What we are doing.

  • Lift Visa body off trailer and carefully store it using JCB to lift
  • Triumph Toledo - fit the parts I have and check what else I need to buy.
  • Take the cylinder head off the Carlton 2.0i Club estate to check the damage.
  • Start Carlton 1.8 GLi.
  • Start Bedford CF
  • Get Zels Mk1 Cavalier fired up and move it
  • Make a couple of the mopeds run.
  • Cut the grass.
  • Work on/clean your own car/stuff
  • Inspect Ami
  • Inspect 2ft gauge railway engine
  • Help Talbot with barn roof
  • Prepare enclosed fire pit if anybody is staying for the evening
  • Drink tea and chat.

Weather looks like it will be dry and 18°C.

I'll be bringing over fuel line, fuel, jack and tools necessary to get the flat tyre on the Cavalier swapped over.

With the fuel line replaced hopefully it just wants the points cleaning up then it should fire up again.

I was going to ask how the boat was doing

but it looks like the usual train service I use, from Euston to MKC is unavailable due to rail-works , *sigh*

seems like everything is trying to stop me from getting to the FoD (and getting the REV plushy) for some reason LOL

Its a sad goodbye time again.

I have had this 325i SE manual E30 for over 10 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a friend from the BMW club who asked to buy it and in line with my feet reduction policy I let her have it.

This car was used by the band The 1975 for there music video Somebody else while I owned it.

Looks like I will make it tomorrow after all.  The Dyane will get another run out, and may get its brake pads changed if I remember to bring them.

I also have some new wheels to paint before the 145 XZXs go on...
