Unfortunately I'm working both FoD dates again. Much sadness. I hope to get to ONE this year

Maybe offer to partner with them in some way?

Buy the company, could be cheaper. Not entirely joking - some of our customers spend enough each month to do it cheaper in-house. If I get a big enough offer I’ll retire.

We are still waiting for the new HT leads for the Peugeot 504 so we started on the exhaust replacement today. All off and it was really bad. Now held up as I have had to order new mounting.

E3 had it throttle pedal rebuilt and the carb linkage adjusted for a slower response to pressing the pedal to the amount the throttle butterflies open. Then it all went wrong, smoke for the heater fan. To be continued.........

To further spoil the day the fuel pump on @Mrs6C BMW330Ci is blowing fuses and not working.

The good news is I had to move the BMW 735iSE and Xantia Activa and they both started on the button having sat since November.

Old post, I know.

I must be doing something wrong. 24hp on my mower.

725cc, just a smidge more than original Robin. Half the cylinders.

Would probably be quite sprightly as an on-road powerplant.

Thats almost as big as the Daf 🚙

I've finally looked at the calendar and 13/14 the kids are in France with Amy so I can be free and handy with an empty estate car should you need.

20/21st Charlie's been begging me to let us camp at the field again, so barring shit weather count us in for that weekend too if that's OK?

Work permitting (don't know my hours), 13/14 should be a doer for me, and assuming I'm not out of it I'll run down.
Unfortunately the 20th is Radwood at Bicester Heritage, and I'll be ferrying mates so it's not really possible for me.

13/14 great

20th a shame as you are only 14 miles away from us.

I have started to look for service items for our 1973 Saab 95.

Looks like Euro car parts have no interest in older vehicles!

Same at my work.

Think you need numbers from existing parts on the motor and go from there.

Older vehicles? They had our works Astravan sat on the ramp 3 days for a centre box they couldn't supply. I will move heaven and earth to avoid them now, even ordering from Autodoc and waiting a week is preferable.

Should be renamed Euro Gonna Be Waiting Long Time For Your Car Parts.

They’d be the wrong thing for the wrong car anyway. Or is that just me?

Yes are correct there is not much 95/95 stuff on their website.

This is my basic list as the car has not been used for 20 years. On there website they list sump plugs are they a common failure? Any other items particular to Saab 95's I should consider?

Thanks for the offer, but I should be ok as we still have nearly 3 weeks to assemble parts for the Saab.

In last weeks episode of fix the E3 we finished with smoke coming from the heater fan motor. Anybody got a Bosch 0130 066 015!

put the bosch number in and placces do them but no stock for new ones

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134165753181

think the motor bit is fairly standard just the fan bits are specific

this looks like your motor - far more e30 and e36 knocking about

or could a elec rebuild place redo yours?

Just out of curiosity, if I can only make it to one of the 2 up coming gatherings

do you have a specific weekend out of the 2 that you recommend that I try and make it to?

keeping in mind that I am probably not much good for anything! so if theres a particular weekend out of these 2 where you will need all hands on deck/able bodied hands then obviously probably best I dont go to that one and just be a mill stone!

ideally id to make it to both of course!, but that banks on having REV back in time, and I have no clue as to if that will happen or not sadly

Still not sure what weekend I'm wanted but if we go on parts collection missions I'll have a front seat spare

@beko1987 I was rather hoping you would do your magic on the appearance and bring the paint back to life. Then when I find all the faults at least I can admire it and say it's worth it!

A few very poor photos from a few FoD visits ago when the Visa shell was being moved.  These were from a test film being run through one of my cameras that just arrived today and proved it to have some issues, so the quality is abysmal.  Figured I'd share them anyway though.

out0024.thumb.jpg.5e12d89bd4ef3cda34ab75302ea08a2a.jpg

How heavy is a Visa shell?  Heavier than you'd think!

out0025.thumb.jpg.16b9ebd8508ad1af322320d8d492a99a.jpg

Sadly the decent photos I probably got were on a film that got lost in the post on the way back from being processed.

I'll be coming down for one or both of the weekends next month, hopefully the 205 will be making its FOD debut.

We’d love to come to one of the weekends, work permitting - is there space for a Ducato camper? Just a mwb van basically. Thanks!
