I'm doing away with the vinyl roof on mine so was quite* disappointed to find the roof hud rusted quite badly underneath the vinyl. Whether you want to poke yours or not I don't know...

I will have some original parts from my SR available if needed as I'm building a 400 replica. Let me know if there's anything you need

That has probably saved the roof rotting from the rear screen aperture as they do with a factory roof and the drains go into the chassis rails front & rear too. I think that car was quite good under the battery but worth checking and treating.

I caught a glue sniffer sat beside my car today!

Thank you @Slowsilver more moving cars around today. Followed by glueing the sill cover vinyl back into place.

Ooh, the faithful old retainer must have had a promotion if he's allowed to work on the E-type!

Buying a car from an AS member with guaranteed sunshine I am disappointed, ever since @Andyrew delivered it we have had nothing but rain and wind. I got it back out today and guess what!

Yes, that is thanks to @Andyrew when I bought it. He did so much to this car to save it from being a parts car.

That looks lovely. Dad brought one home one night, in red, to a house we moved from when I was 5 1/2. Borrowed from his boss, for some reason. IIRC he drove me around for hours in it. (Could only have been 30 mins tho)

I collected our MG Metro today, it has had the steering rack replaced, tracking and a fresh MOT.

Glad that @Six-cylinderhas not been too traumatised by the x1/9 Sunday. Despite all rumours, I didn’t have to take the roof off for him to fit, but it did make it easier for him to get out!

X1/9 is great. I think the driving seat would be more difficult getting my legs under the steering wheel, but then the MX5 is tight too.

Depending on shoes the tops of my thighs rub on the steering wheel.

What's a Silver Dawn?  I thought that shape was either a Spirit, or a Spur if it was a LWB.

It is LWB, based on the Silver Spur III, the Silver Dawn just updated electronic traction control system, heated rear seats, and downsized front grille and Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet ornament.

My friend, another Steve is also car mad and has had a Bentley Turbo for years, this Rolls is his wife's who inherited it from her late brother and in beautiful condition.

I used to work for Steve in the later 90s into the 00s. The office was car mad, I had car models on my desk, that was completely acceptable, nay encouraged. We talked cars all day (it was a building company) when we had an off site business apointment we often found a car related activity to improve the day.

Steve has always had a fantastic collection of cars, more than me have come and gone, but sticking with Rolls/Bentley, for many years he had a Silver Shadow I and a Cloud II. We used to have a car mad client so we would sometimes visit him with the Cloud II. He has had several Bentleys over the years but also likes all sorts of junk like an Allegro and Renault 4s before they became fashionable/valuable. Maybe not a shiter but a sound car mad friend.

Oooh, I'm not working that weekend either! First long trip of the year in the Stellar, rough it in the Landy, or bring luxurious accommodation with the LT?
