I’ve seen several new moderns over the past week that I could not identify at all. Not a clue, even when I could see their badges, no idea.

Not seen this, but it deserves to be here. IMG_3033.jpeg.e48cff399a60e9fbbc34d7e1315a7aae.jpeg

Buy a £20,000 car from Brazil  + shipping. What could possibly go wrong?

WE DO NOT KEEP STOCK IN LONDON, PLEASE NOTE THAT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP ANY CAR FROM BRAZIL WITHOUT 100% PREPAID BEFORE SHIPPING.

Nice car though.

I find modern cars are like the pop charts.

Most of them I have no clue, Some I recognise,  a few I could name.

Not sure I care about any of them.

Was it Frankie Boyle who said to Clara Amfo about presenting the Top 40, "The only way it could be better is if it was 20 years ago, when anybody gave a shit!"

40 years ago I was 11 and the charts were the most important thing, crouching over a tape recorder pause button, trying to get the whole song taped before Richard Skinner started talking.

Today I saw this, a Forthing U-tour. I can't help but think the designer took a close look to contemporary Lexus models, but it's nice to see an actual mpv again instead of just another generic crossover.

This is about the Italianest photo I have ever seen.

It took me a while to realise that's an ice cream van body mounted on the Fiat 127 pick-up.

Not so much a car but a car accessory. I never knew these existed. A cheap looking radio-front to hide your much more expensive set-up:

God I remember them!

Must have popular all over Europe, as ‘U’ was usually labelled FM, or VHF earlier on, over here.

I think ‘U’ was the German designation?

U for UHF ultra high frequency? Although this is mainly used for things like police radios rather than radio 1.

FM = Frequency modulation, AM = Amplitude modulation.

HF = High Frequency.. VHF = Very, UHF = Ultra.

Not the same animals, but am 2 tired to explain it now

We've been running those for 4 years now, took me about 18 months to realise that it was a facelift of the previous version.  The pre-facelift Vauxhall version was sold alongside it for a year or so before being replaced by a badge engineered Peugeot Boxer.

U= Ultrakurzwelle (ultra short wave, or VHF), on which band Frequency Modulation (FM) was the transmission mode for commercial broadcasting.

It's a Fiat 147 City Pick Up, built from 1982 onwards.

Mazda Laputa. Thankfully not sold outside Japan.

La Puta, in Spanish, translates to 'The Whore'.
