What have you bought from the ebay tat thread?

Has anyone here ever bought anything we have put in the ebay tat thread?

If so what did you get?

Did it go well? Do you still have it?

Yep. Bought the Sierra two days after joining the forum last December.

I'm pretty sure I've bought three or four, and bid on absolutely loads.

Amazingly we are in 8 replies and nobody has posted a link to a peugeot 205 mistaking this for the actual ebay tat thread.

And then this:

Overall it isn't a good thing for my bank balance.

Erm, from memory  the Beta Spyder, Renault 25, Citroen XM & Galant Sapporo came from the tat thread ... possibly others.

I still have the Spyder, as seen at Chumley this year and the Galant Sapporo, which is very broken, possibly needing a new engine.

So where did the white hen.come from?

Nothing but probably because nothing has been all that close with an MOT. Probably best for my bank balance that I don't have storage space.

To be fair, I found and posted the Samara in the hope someone would save it. Nobody bit, so I had to do it!

That grinning goon is not me by the way, pics from the ebay ad. How bad could it be?

It looked like fun anyway, so I won it for £87.10. Recommissioning currently under way.

I was confident that I had bought loads, but upon investigation, I dinnat think I ever have bought a tat thread car. Just cars direct from members.

I am so disappoint.

Probably bought something. Definitely sold something on the tat thread: the laughter that produced was what made me start reading the forum threads.

Not sure if it counts as I posted it then won on it anyway after giving it a chance run the bids up..... Sold it couple of weeks ago. 924.post-17633-0-04692800-1415523166_thumb.jpg

If there's something I want on ebay I don't post it in the tat thread ... the less people looking/bidding on it the better if I'm bidding on it.

My Polonez was in Volume 2 before I was on the forum. I think the Samba Roller may have been in volume 3

All my current tat except the Golf (eBay, before I discovered AS) and Dedra (found in a barn) comes from the tat thread.

Well priced and is a good 'un, if a bit frilly in places - seller is a very good egg:

On the tat thread although from Gumtree - I probably overpaid slightly but I'm happy with it:

This appeared on the tat thread and Scooters bought it, but then accidentally won a Triumph 2000 at the same time so I took it over.  Needed a fair amount of work, still ongoing, but it's basically pretty sound with a lovely interior and was well cheap:

Less successfully, this was also on the tat thread.  I got as far as putting down a deposit and getting the seller to MOT it, but it turned out to need so many things doing that I walked away.  I lost the deposit but saved myself thousands.

The current ZX diesel clunker was a tat thread posting. More have come from members, though.

No, don't think I've ever even bidded on one. Usually anythign interesting is too far way to bother with

Where do I start, 2 Mark 1 Espace's, 2 Renault 18's, a lovely and for once local Citroen BX, an early Fiat Panda, plus more I can' recall. Oh and I am picking up a Daf 33 thanks to another thread next week...
